| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [11:32] | Qaloo ya noohu qad jadaltanafaaktharta jidalana fa/tina bimataAAiduna in kunta mina alssadiqeena |  قالوا يا نوح قد جادلتنا فأكثرت جدالنا فأتنا بما تعدنا إن كنت من الصادقينقَالُواْ يَا نُوحُ قَدْ جَادَلْتَنَا فَأَكْثَرْتَ جِدَالَنَا فَأْتَنِا بِمَا تَعِدُنَا إِن كُنتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | وہ کہنے لگے: اے نوح! بیشک تم ہم سے جھگڑ چکے سو تم نے ہم سے بہت جھگڑا کر لیا، بس اب ہمارے پاس وہ (عذاب) لے آؤ جس کا تم ہم سے وعدہ کرتے ہو اگر تم (واقعی) سچے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They said: "O Noah! thou hast disputed with us, and (much) hast thou prolonged the dispute with us: now bring upon us what thou threatenest us with, if thou speakest the truth!?"

[11:29] | Waya qawmi la as-alukumAAalayhi malan in ajriya illa AAala Allahiwama ana bitaridi allatheena amanooinnahum mulaqoo rabbihim walakinnee arakumqawman tajhaloona | ويا قوم لا أسألكم عليه مالا إن أجري إلا على الله وما أنا بطارد الذين آمنوا إنهم ملاقو ربهم ولكني أراكم قوما تجهلون وَيَا قَوْمِ لاَ أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مَالاً إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلاَّ عَلَى اللّهِ وَمَآ أَنَاْ بِطَارِدِ الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ إِنَّهُم مُّلاَقُواْ رَبِّهِمْ وَلَـكِنِّيَ أَرَاكُمْ قَوْمًا تَجْهَلُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اے میری قوم! میں تم سے اس (دعوت و تبلیغ) پر کوئی مال و دولت (بھی) طلب نہیں کرتا، میرا اجر تو صرف اﷲ (کے ذمۂ کرم) پر ہے اور میں (تمہاری خاطر) ان (غریب اور پسماندہ) لوگوں کو جو ایمان لے آئے ہیں دھتکارنے والا بھی نہیں ہوں (تم انہیں حقیر مت سمجھو یہی حقیقت میں معزز ہیں)۔ بیشک یہ لوگ اپنے رب کی ملاقات سے بہرہ یاب ہونے والے ہیں اور میں تو درحقیقت تمہیں جاہل (و بے فہم) قوم دیکھ رہا ہوں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "And O my people! I ask you for no wealth in return: my reward is from none but Allah: But I will not drive away (in contempt) those who believe: for verily they are to meet their Lord, and ye I see are the ignorant ones!

| 3. [11:33] | Qala innama ya/teekum bihi Allahuin shaa wama antum bimuAAjizeena | قال إنما يأتيكم به الله إن شاء وما أنتم بمعجزين قَالَ إِنَّمَا يَأْتِيكُم بِهِ اللّهُ إِن شَاءَ وَمَا أَنتُم بِمُعْجِزِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (نوح علیہ السلام نے) کہا: وہ (عذاب) تو بس اﷲ ہی تم پر لائے گا اگر اس نے چاہا اور تم (اسے) عاجز نہیں کرسکتے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | He said: "Truly, Allah will bring it on you if He wills,- and then, ye will not be able to frustrate it!

[11:31] | Wala aqoolu lakum AAindee khaza-inuAllahi wala aAAlamu alghayba wala aqooluinnee malakun wala aqoolu lillatheena tazdareeaAAyunukum lan yu/tiyahumu Allahu khayran AllahuaAAlamu bima fee anfusihim innee ithan lamina alththalimeena | ولا أقول لكم عندي خزائن الله ولا أعلم الغيب ولا أقول إني ملك ولا أقول للذين تزدري أعينكم لن يؤتيهم الله خيرا الله أعلم بما في أنفسهم إني إذا لمن الظالمين وَلاَ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ عِندِي خَزَآئِنُ اللّهِ وَلاَ أَعْلَمُ الْغَيْبَ وَلاَ أَقُولُ إِنِّي مَلَكٌ وَلاَ أَقُولُ لِلَّذِينَ تَزْدَرِي أَعْيُنُكُمْ لَن يُؤْتِيَهُمُ اللّهُ خَيْرًا اللّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا فِي أَنفُسِهِمْ إِنِّي إِذًا لَّمِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور میں تم سے (یہ) نہیں کہتا کہ میرے پاس اﷲ کے خزانے ہیں (یعنی میں بے حد دولت مند ہوں) اور نہ (یہ کہ) میں (اﷲ کے بتائے بغیر) خود غیب جانتا ہوں اور نہ میں یہ کہتا ہوں کہ میں (انسان نہیں) فرشتہ ہوں (میری دعوت کرشماتی دعوؤں پر مبنی نہیں ہے) اور نہ ان لوگوں کی نسبت جنہیں تمہاری نگاہیں حقیر جان رہی ہیں یہ کہتا ہوں کہ اﷲ انہیں ہرگز کوئی بھلائی نہ دے گا (یہ اﷲ کا امر اور ہر شخص کا نصیب ہے)، اﷲ بہتر جانتا ہے جو کچھ ان کے دلوں میں ہے، (اگر ایسا کہوں تو) بیشک میں اسی وقت ظالموں میں سے ہو جاؤں گا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "I tell you not that with me are the treasures of Allah, nor do I know what is hidden, nor claim I to be an angel. Nor yet do I say, of those whom your eyes do despise that Allah will not grant them (all) that is good: Allah knoweth best what is in their souls: I should, if I did, indeed be a wrong-doer."

[11:34] | Wala yanfaAAukum nushee inaradtu an ansaha lakum in kana Allahuyureedu an yughwiyakum huwa rabbukum wa-ilayhi turjaAAoona | ولا ينفعكم نصحي إن أردت أن أنصح لكم إن كان الله يريد أن يغويكم هو ربكم وإليه ترجعون وَلاَ يَنفَعُكُمْ نُصْحِي إِنْ أَرَدتُّ أَنْ أَنصَحَ لَكُمْ إِن كَانَ اللّهُ يُرِيدُ أَن يُغْوِيَكُمْ هُوَ رَبُّكُمْ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور میری نصیحت (بھی) تمہیں نفع نہ دے گی خواہ میں تمہیں نصیحت کرنے کا ارادہ کروں اگر اﷲ نے تمہیں گمراہ کرنے کا ارادہ فرما لیا ہو، وہ تمہارا رب ہے اور تم اسی کی طرف لوٹائے جاؤ گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Of no profit will be my counsel to you, much as I desire to give you (good) counsel, if it be that Allah willeth to leave you astray: He is your Lord! and to Him will ye return!"

| 6. [11:35] | Am yaqooloona iftarahu qul iniiftaraytuhu faAAalayya ijramee waana baree-on mimmatujrimoona | أم يقولون افتراه قل إن افتريته فعلي إجرامي وأنا بريء مما تجرمون أَمْ يَقُولُونَ افْتَرَاهُ قُلْ إِنِ افْتَرَيْتُهُ فَعَلَيَّ إِجْرَامِي وَأَنَاْ بَرِيءٌ مِّمَّا تُجْرِمُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (اے حبیبِ مکرّم!) کیا یہ لوگ کہتے ہیں کہ پیغمبر نے اس (قرآن) کو خود گھڑ لیا ہے، فرما دیجئے: اگر میں نے اسے گھڑ لیا ہے تو میرے جرم (کا وبال) مجھ پر ہوگا اور میں اس سے بری ہوں جو جرم تم کر رہے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Or do they say, "He has forged it"? Say: "If I had forged it, on me were my sin! and I am free of the sins of which ye are guilty!

[11:36] | Waoohiya ila noohinannahu lan yu/mina min qawmika illa man qad amanafala tabta-is bima kanoo yafAAaloona | وأوحي إلى نوح أنه لن يؤمن من قومك إلا من قد آمن فلا تبتئس بما كانوا يفعلون وَأُوحِيَ إِلَى نُوحٍ أَنَّهُ لَن يُؤْمِنَ مِن قَوْمِكَ إِلاَّ مَن قَدْ آمَنَ فَلاَ تَبْتَئِسْ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَفْعَلُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور نوح (علیہ السلام) کی طرف وحی کی گئی کہ (اب) ہرگز تمہاری قوم میں سے (مزید) کوئی ایمان نہیں لائے گا سوائے ان کے جو (اس وقت تک) ایمان لا چکے ہیں، سو آپ ان کے (تکذیب و استہزا کے) کاموں سے رنجیدہ نہ ہوں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | It was revealed to Noah: "None of thy people will believe except those who have believed already! So grieve no longer over their (evil) deeds.

[11:37] | WaisnaAAi alfulka bi-aAAyuninawawahyina wala tukhatibnee fee allatheenathalamoo innahum mughraqoona | واصنع الفلك بأعيننا ووحينا ولا تخاطبني في الذين ظلموا إنهم مغرقون وَاصْنَعِ الْفُلْكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا وَوَحْيِنَا وَلاَ تُخَاطِبْنِي فِي الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ إِنَّهُم مُّغْرَقُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور تم ہمارے حکم کے مطابق ہمارے سامنے ایک کشتی بناؤ اور ظالموں کے بارے میں مجھ سے (کوئی) بات نہ کرنا، وہ ضرور غرق کئے جائیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "But construct an Ark under Our eyes and Our inspiration, and address Me no (further) on behalf of those who are in sin: for they are about to be overwhelmed (in the Flood)."

[11:38] | WayasnaAAu alfulka wakullamamarra AAalayhi malaon min qawmihi sakhiroo minhu qala intaskharoo minna fa-inna naskharu minkum kamataskharoona | ويصنع الفلك وكلما مر عليه ملأ من قومه سخروا منه قال إن تسخروا منا فإنا نسخر منكم كما تسخرون وَيَصْنَعُ الْفُلْكَ وَكُلَّمَا مَرَّ عَلَيْهِ مَلَأٌ مِّن قَوْمِهِ سَخِرُواْ مِنْهُ قَالَ إِن تَسْخَرُواْ مِنَّا فَإِنَّا نَسْخَرُ مِنكُمْ كَمَا تَسْخَرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور نوح (علیہ السلام) کشتی بناتے رہے اور جب بھی ان کی قوم کے سردار اُن کے پاس سے گزرتے ان کا مذاق اڑاتے۔ نوح (علیہ السلام انہیں جوابًا) کہتے: اگر (آج) تم ہم سے تمسخر کرتے ہو تو (کل) ہم بھی تم سے تمسخر کریں گے جیسے تم تمسخر کر رہے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Forthwith he (starts) constructing the Ark: Every time that the chiefs of his people passed by him, they threw ridicule on him. He said: "If ye ridicule us now, we (in our turn) can look down on you with ridicule likewise!

| 10. [11:39] | Fasawfa taAAlamoona man ya/teehi AAathabunyukhzeehi wayahillu AAalayhi AAathabun muqeemun | فسوف تعلمون من يأتيه عذاب يخزيه ويحل عليه عذاب مقيم فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ مَن يَأْتِيهِ عَذَابٌ يُخْزِيهِ وَيَحِلُّ عَلَيْهِ عَذَابٌ مُّقِيمٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | سو تم عنقریب جان لوگے کہ کس پر (دنیا میں ہی) عذاب آتا ہے جو اسے ذلیل و رسوا کر دے گا اور (پھر آخرت میں بھی کس پر) ہمیشہ قائم رہنے والا عذاب اترتا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "But soon will ye know who it is on whom will descend a penalty that will cover them with shame,- on whom will be unloosed a penalty lasting:"

[11:40] | Hatta itha jaaamruna wafara alttannooru qulna ihmilfeeha min kullin zawjayni ithnayni waahlaka illaman sabaqa AAalayhi alqawlu waman amana wama amanamaAAahu illa qaleelun | حتى إذا جاء أمرنا وفار التنور قلنا احمل فيها من كل زوجين اثنين وأهلك إلا من سبق عليه القول ومن آمن وما آمن معه إلا قليل حَتَّى إِذَا جَاءَ أَمْرُنَا وَفَارَ التَّنُّورُ قُلْنَا احْمِلْ فِيهَا مِن كُلٍّ زَوْجَيْنِ اثْنَيْنِ وَأَهْلَكَ إِلاَّ مَن سَبَقَ عَلَيْهِ الْقَوْلُ وَمَنْ آمَنَ وَمَا آمَنَ مَعَهُ إِلاَّ قَلِيلٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | یہاں تک کہ جب ہمارا حکمِ (عذاب) آپہنچا اور تنور (پانی کے چشموں کی طرح) جوش سے ابلنے لگا (تو) ہم نے فرمایا: (اے نوح!) اس کشتی میں ہر جنس میں سے (نر اور مادہ) دو عدد پر مشتمل جوڑا سوار کر لو اور اپنے گھر والوں کو بھی (لے لو) سوائے ان کے جن پر (ہلاکت کا) فرمان پہلے صادر ہو چکا ہے اور جو کوئی ایمان لے آیا ہے (اسے بھی ساتھ لے لو)، اور چند (لوگوں) کے سوا ان کے ساتھ کوئی ایمان نہیں لایا تھا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | At length, behold! there came Our command, and the fountains of the earth gushed forth! We said: "Embark therein, of each kind two, male and female, and your family - except those against whom the word has already gone forth,- and the Believers." but only a few believed with him.

| 12. [11:41] | Waqala irkaboo feeha bismi Allahimajraha wamursaha inna rabbeelaghafoorun raheemun | وقال اركبوا فيها بسم الله مجراها ومرساها إن ربي لغفور رحيم وَقَالَ ارْكَبُواْ فِيهَا بِسْمِ اللّهِ مَجْرِےهَا وَمُرْسَاهَا إِنَّ رَبِّي لَغَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور نوح (علیہ السلام) نے کہا: تم لوگ اس میں سوار ہو جاؤ اﷲ ہی کے نام سے اس کا چلنا اور اس کا ٹھہرنا ہے۔ بیشک میرا رب بڑا ہی بخشنے والا نہایت مہربان ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | So he said: "Embark ye on the Ark, In the name of Allah, whether it move or be at rest! For my Lord is, be sure, Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful!"

[11:42] | Wahiya tajree bihim fee mawjin kaaljibaliwanada noohunu ibnahu wakana feemaAAzilin ya bunayya irkab maAAana walatakun maAAa alkafireena | وهي تجري بهم في موج كالجبال ونادى نوح ابنه وكان في معزل يا بني اركب معنا ولا تكن مع الكافرين وَهِيَ تَجْرِي بِهِمْ فِي مَوْجٍ كَالْجِبَالِ وَنَادَى نُوحٌ ابْنَهُ وَكَانَ فِي مَعْزِلٍ يَا بُنَيَّ ارْكَب مَّعَنَا وَلاَ تَكُن مَّعَ الْكَافِرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور وہ کشتی پہاڑوں جیسی (طوفانی) لہروں میں انہیں لئے چلتی جا رہی تھی کہ نوح (علیہ السلام) نے اپنے بیٹے کو پکارا اور وہ ان سے الگ (کافروں کے ساتھ کھڑا) تھا: اے میرے بیٹے! ہمارے ساتھ سوار ہوجا اور کافروں کے ساتھ نہ رہ | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | So the Ark floated with them on the waves (towering) like mountains, and Noah called out to his son, who had separated himself (from the rest): "O my son! embark with us, and be not with the unbelievers!"

[11:45] | Wanada noohun rabbahufaqala rabbi inna ibnee min ahlee wa-inna waAAdaka alhaqquwaanta ahkamu alhakimeena | ونادى نوح ربه فقال رب إن ابني من أهلي وإن وعدك الحق وأنت أحكم الحاكمين وَنَادَى نُوحٌ رَّبَّهُ فَقَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ ابْنِي مِنْ أَهْلِي وَإِنَّ وَعْدَكَ الْحَقُّ وَأَنتَ أَحْكَمُ الْحَاكِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور نوح (علیہ السلام) نے اپنے رب کو پکارا اور عرض کیا: اے میرے رب! بیشک میرا لڑکا (بھی) تو میرے گھر والوں میں داخل تھا اور یقینًا تیرا وعدہ سچا ہے اور تو سب سے بڑا حاکم ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And Noah called upon his Lord, and said: "O my Lord! surely my son is of my family! and Thy promise is true, and Thou art the justest of Judges!"

[11:43] | Qala saawee ila jabalinyaAAsimunee mina alma-i qala la AAasimaalyawma min amri Allahi illa man rahima wahalabaynahuma almawju fakana mina almughraqeena | قال سآوي إلى جبل يعصمني من الماء قال لا عاصم اليوم من أمر الله إلا من رحم وحال بينهما الموج فكان من المغرقين قَالَ سَآوِي إِلَى جَبَلٍ يَعْصِمُنِي مِنَ الْمَاءِ قَالَ لاَ عَاصِمَ الْيَوْمَ مِنْ أَمْرِ اللّهِ إِلاَّ مَن رَّحِمَ وَحَالَ بَيْنَهُمَا الْمَوْجُ فَكَانَ مِنَ الْمُغْرَقِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہ بولا: میں (کشتی میں سوار ہونے کے بجائے) ابھی کسی پہاڑ کی پناہ لے لیتا ہوں وہ مجھے پانی سے بچا لے گا۔ نوح (علیہ السلام) نے کہا: آج اﷲ کے عذاب سے کوئی بچانے والا نہیں ہے مگر اس شخص کو جس پر وہی (اﷲ) رحم فرما دے، اسی اثنا میں دونوں (یعنی باپ بیٹے) کے درمیان (طوفانی) موج حائل ہوگئی سو وہ ڈوبنے والوں میں ہوگیا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | The son replied: "I will betake myself to some mountain: it will save me from the water." Noah said: "This day nothing can save, from the command of Allah, any but those on whom He hath mercy! "And the waves came between them, and the son was among those overwhelmed in the Flood.

[11:50] | Wa-ila AAadin akhahumhoodan qala ya qawmi oAAbudoo Allaha malakum min ilahin ghayruhu in antum illa muftaroona | وإلى عاد أخاهم هودا قال يا قوم اعبدوا الله ما لكم من إله غيره إن أنتم إلا مفترون وَإِلَى عَادٍ أَخَاهُمْ هُودًا قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُواْ اللّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَـهٍ غَيْرُهُ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلاَّ مُفْتَرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (ہم نے) قومِ عاد کی طرف ان کے بھائی ہود (علیہ السلام) کو (بھیجا)، انہوں نے کہا: اے میری قوم اﷲ کی عبادت کرو اس کے سوا تمہارے لئے کوئی معبود نہیں، تم اﷲ پر (شریک رکھنے کا) محض بہتان باندھنے والے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | To the 'Ad People (We sent) Hud, one of their own brethren. He said: "O my people! worship Allah! ye have no other god but Him. (Your other gods) ye do nothing but invent!

[11:44] | Waqeela ya ardu iblaAAee maakiwaya samao aqliAAee wagheeda almaowaqudiya al-amru waistawat AAala aljoodiyyiwaqeela buAAdan lilqawmi alththalimeena | وقيل يا أرض ابلعي ماءك ويا سماء أقلعي وغيض الماء وقضي الأمر واستوت على الجودي وقيل بعدا للقوم الظالمين وَقِيلَ يَا أَرْضُ ابْلَعِي مَاءَكِ وَيَا سَمَاءُ أَقْلِعِي وَغِيضَ الْمَاءُ وَقُضِيَ الْأَمْرُ وَاسْتَوَتْ عَلَى الْجُودِيِّ وَقِيلَ بُعْداً لِّلْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (جب سفینۂ نوح کے سوا سب ڈوب کر ہلاک ہو چکے تو) حکم دیا گیا: اے زمین! اپنا پانی نگل جا اور اے آسمان! تو تھم جا، اور پانی خشک کر دیا گیا اور کام تمام کر دیا گیا اور کشتی جودی پہاڑ پر جا ٹھہری، اور فرما دیا گیا کہ ظالموں کے لئے (رحمت سے) دوری ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Then the word went forth: "O earth! swallow up thy water, and O sky! Withhold (thy rain)!" and the water abated, and the matter was ended. The Ark rested on Mount Judi, and the word went forth: "Away with those who do wrong!"

| 18. [11:51] | Ya qawmi la as-alukum AAalayhiajran in ajriya illa AAala allathee fataraneeafala taAAqiloona | يا قوم لا أسألكم عليه أجرا إن أجري إلا على الذي فطرني أفلا تعقلون يَا قَوْمِ لاَ أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلاَّ عَلَى الَّذِي فَطَرَنِي أَفَلاَ تَعْقِلُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اے میری قوم! میں اس (دعوت و تبلیغ) پر تم سے کوئی اجر نہیں مانگتا، میرا اجر فقط اس (کے ذمۂ کرم) پر ہے جس نے مجھے پیدا فرمایا ہے، کیا تم عقل سے کام نہیں لیتے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "O my people! I ask of you no reward for this (Message). My reward is from none but Him who created me: Will ye not then understand?

[11:46] | Qala ya noohu innahulaysa min ahlika innahu AAamalun ghayru salihin falatas-alni ma laysa laka bihi AAilmun innee aAAithukaan takoona mina aljahileena | قال يا نوح إنه ليس من أهلك إنه عمل غير صالح فلا تسألن ما ليس لك به علم إني أعظك أن تكون من الجاهلين قَالَ يَا نُوحُ إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِنْ أَهْلِكَ إِنَّهُ عَمَلٌ غَيْرُ صَالِحٍ فَلاَ تَسْأَلْنِ مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهِ عِلْمٌ إِنِّي أَعِظُكَ أَن تَكُونَ مِنَ الْجَاهِلِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | ارشاد ہو: اے نوح! بیشک وہ تیرے گھر والوں میں شامل نہیں کیونکہ اس کے عمل اچھے نہ تھے، پس مجھ سے وہ سوال نہ کیا کرو جس کا تمہیں علم نہ ہو، میں تمہیں نصیحت کئے دیتا ہوں کہ کہیں تم نادانوں میں سے (نہ) ہو جانا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | He said: "O Noah! He is not of thy family: For his conduct is unrighteous. So ask not of Me that of which thou hast no knowledge! I give thee counsel, lest thou act like the ignorant!"

[11:53] | Qaloo ya hoodu maji/tana bibayyinatin wama nahnu bitarikeealihatina AAan qawlika wama nahnulaka bimu/mineena | قالوا يا هود ما جئتنا ببينة وما نحن بتاركي آلهتنا عن قولك وما نحن لك بمؤمنين قَالُواْ يَا هُودُ مَا جِئْتَنَا بِبَيِّنَةٍ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِتَارِكِي آلِهَتِنَا عَن قَوْلِكَ وَمَا نَحْنُ لَكَ بِمُؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہ بولے: اے ہود! تم ہمارے پاس کوئی واضح دلیل لیکر نہیں آئے ہو اور نہ ہم تمہارے کہنے سے اپنے معبودوں کو چھوڑنے والے ہیں اور نہ ہی ہم تم پر ایمان لانے والے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They said: "O Hud! No Clear (Sign) that hast thou brought us, and we are not the ones to desert our gods on thy word! Nor shall we believe in thee!

[11:47] | Qala rabbi innee aAAoothu bikaan as-alaka ma laysa lee bihi AAilmun wa-illataghfir lee watarhamnee akun mina alkhasireena | قال رب إني أعوذ بك أن أسألك ما ليس لي به علم وإلا تغفر لي وترحمني أكن من الخاسرين قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ أَسْأَلَكَ مَا لَيْسَ لِي بِهِ عِلْمٌ وَإِلاَّ تَغْفِرْ لِي وَتَرْحَمْنِي أَكُن مِّنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (نوح علیہ السلام نے) عرض کیا: اے میرے رب! میں اس بات سے تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں کہ تجھ سے وہ سوال کروں جس کا مجھے کچھ علم نہ ہو، اور اگر تو مجھے نہ بخشے گا اور مجھ پر رحم (نہ) فرمائے گا (تو) میں نقصان اٹھانے والوں میں سے ہو جاؤں گا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Noah said: "O my Lord! I do seek refuge with Thee, lest I ask Thee for that of which I have no knowledge. And unless thou forgive me and have Mercy on me, I should indeed be lost!"

[11:54] | In naqoolu illa iAAtaraka baAAdualihatina bisoo-in qala innee oshhidu Allahawaishhadoo annee baree-on mimma tushrikoona | إن نقول إلا اعتراك بعض آلهتنا بسوء قال إني أشهد الله واشهدوا أني بريء مما تشركون إِن نَّقُولُ إِلاَّ اعْتَرَاكَ بَعْضُ آلِهَتِنَا بِسُوءٍ قَالَ إِنِّي أُشْهِدُ اللّهَ وَاشْهَدُواْ أَنِّي بَرِيءٌ مِّمَّا تُشْرِكُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | ہم اس کے سوا (کچھ) نہیں کہہ سکتے کہ ہمارے معبودوں میں سے کسی نے تمہیں (دماغی خلل کی) بیماری میں مبتلا کر دیا ہے۔ ہود (علیہ السلام)نے کہا: بیشک میں اﷲ کو گواہ بناتا ہوں اور تم بھی گواہ رہو کہ میں ان سے لاتعلق ہوں جنہیں تم شریک گردانتے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "We say nothing but that (perhaps) some of our gods may have seized thee with imbecility." He said: "I call Allah to witness, and do ye bear witness, that I am free from the sin of ascribing, to Him,

[11:48] | Qeela ya noohu ihbitbisalamin minna wabarakatin AAalayka waAAalaomamin mimman maAAaka waomamun sanumattiAAuhum thumma yamassuhumminna AAathabun aleemun | قيل يا نوح اهبط بسلام منا وبركات عليك وعلى أمم ممن معك وأمم سنمتعهم ثم يمسهم منا عذاب أليم قِيلَ يَا نُوحُ اهْبِطْ بِسَلاَمٍ مِّنَّا وَبَركَاتٍ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَى أُمَمٍ مِّمَّن مَّعَكَ وَأُمَمٌ سَنُمَتِّعُهُمْ ثُمَّ يَمَسُّهُم مِّنَّا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | فرمایا گیا: اے نوح! ہماری طرف سے سلامتی اور برکتوں کے ساتھ (کشتی سے) اتر جاؤ جو تم پر ہیں اور ان طبقات پر ہیں جو تمہارے ساتھ ہیں، اور (آئندہ پھر) کچھ طبقے ایسے ہوں گے جنہیں ہم (دنیوی نعمتوں سے) بہرہ یاب فرمائیں گے پھر انہیں ہماری طرف سے دردناک عذاب آپہنچے گا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | The word came: "O Noah! Come down (from the Ark) with peace from Us, and blessing on thee and on some of the peoples (who will spring) from those with thee: but (there will be other) peoples to whom We shall grant their pleasures (for a time), but in the end will a grievous penalty reach them from Us."

| 24. [11:55] | Min doonihi fakeedoonee jameeAAan thumma latunthirooni | من دونه فكيدوني جميعا ثم لا تنظرون مِن دُونِهِ فَكِيدُونِي جَمِيعًا ثُمَّ لاَ تُنظِرُونِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اس (اﷲ) کے سوا تم سب (بشمول تمہارے معبودانِ باطلہ) مل کر میرے خلاف (کوئی) تدبیر کرلو پھر مجھے مہلت بھی نہ دو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Other gods as partners! so scheme (your worst) against me, all of you, and give me no respite.

[11:58] | Walamma jaa amrunanajjayna hoodan waallatheena amanoomaAAahu birahmatin minna wanajjaynahum minAAathabin ghaleethin | ولما جاء أمرنا نجينا هودا والذين آمنوا معه برحمة منا ونجيناهم من عذاب غليظ وَلَمَّا جَاءَ أَمْرُنَا نَجَّيْنَا هُودًا وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ مَعَهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ مِّنَّا وَنَجَّيْنَاهُم مِّنْ عَذَابٍ غَلِيظٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور جب ہمارا حکمِ (عذاب) آپہنچا (تو) ہم نے ہود (علیہ السلام) کو اور ان کے ساتھ ایمان والوں کو اپنی رحمت کے باعث بچا لیا، اور ہم نے انہیں سخت عذاب سے نجات بخشی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | So when Our decree issued, We saved Hud and those who believed with him, by (special) Grace from Ourselves: We saved them from a severe penalty.

[11:49] | Tilka min anba-i alghaybi nooheehailayka ma kunta taAAlamuha anta wala qawmukamin qabli hatha faisbir inna alAAaqibatalilmuttaqeena | تلك من أنباء الغيب نوحيها إليك ما كنت تعلمها أنت ولا قومك من قبل هذا فاصبر إن العاقبة للمتقين تِلْكَ مِنْ أَنبَاءِ الْغَيْبِ نُوحِيهَا إِلَيْكَ مَا كُنتَ تَعْلَمُهَا أَنتَ وَلاَ قَوْمُكَ مِن قَبْلِ هَـذَا فَاصْبِرْ إِنَّ الْعَاقِبَةَ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | یہ (بیان ان) غیب کی خبروں میں سے ہے جو ہم آپ کی طرف وحی کرتے ہیں، اس سے قبل نہ آپ انہیں جانتے تھے اور نہ آپ کی قوم، پس آپ صبر کریں۔ بیشک بہتر انجام پرہیزگاروں ہی کے لئے ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Such are some of the stories of the unseen, which We have revealed unto thee: before this, neither thou nor thy people knew them. So persevere patiently: for the End is for those who are righteous.

| 27. [11:59] | Watilka AAadun jahadoo bi-ayatirabbihim waAAasaw rusulahu waittabaAAoo amra kullijabbarin AAaneedin | وتلك عاد جحدوا بآيات ربهم وعصوا رسله واتبعوا أمر كل جبار عنيد وَتِلْكَ عَادٌ جَحَدُواْ بِآيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ وَعَصَوْاْ رُسُلَهُ وَاتَّبَعُواْ أَمْرَ كُلِّ جَبَّارٍ عَنِيدٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور یہ (قومِ) عاد ہے جنہوں نے اپنے رب کی آیتوں کا انکار کیا اور اپنے رسولوں کی نافرمانی کی اور ہر جابر (و متکبر) دشمنِ حق کے حکم کی پیروی کی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Such were the 'Ad People: they rejected the Signs of their Lord and Cherisher; disobeyed His messengers; And followed the command of every powerful, obstinate transgressor.

[11:52] | Waya qawmi istaghfiroo rabbakumthumma tooboo ilayhi yursili alssamaa AAalaykummidraran wayazidkum quwwatan ila quwwatikum walatatawallaw mujrimeena | ويا قوم استغفروا ربكم ثم توبوا إليه يرسل السماء عليكم مدرارا ويزدكم قوة إلى قوتكم ولا تتولوا مجرمين وَيَا قَوْمِ اسْتَغْفِرُواْ رَبَّكُمْ ثُمَّ تُوبُواْ إِلَيْهِ يُرْسِلِ السَّمَاءَ عَلَيْكُم مِّدْرَارًا وَيَزِدْكُمْ قُوَّةً إِلَى قُوَّتِكُمْ وَلاَ تَتَوَلَّوْاْ مُجْرِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اے لوگو! تم اپنے رب سے (گناہوں کی) بخشش مانگو پھر اس کی جناب میں (صدقِ دل سے) رجوع کرو، وہ تم پر آسمان سے موسلادھار بارش بھیجے گا اور تمہاری قوت پر قوت بڑھائے گا اور تم مجرم بنتے ہوئے اس سے روگردانی نہ کرنا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "And O my people! Ask forgiveness of your Lord, and turn to Him (in repentance): He will send you the skies pouring abundant rain, and add strength to your strength: so turn ye not back in sin!"

[11:60] | WaotbiAAoo fee hathihi alddunyalaAAnatan wayawma alqiyamati ala inna AAadankafaroo rabbahum ala buAAdan liAAadin qawmi hoodin | وأتبعوا في هذه الدنيا لعنة ويوم القيامة ألا إن عادا كفروا ربهم ألا بعدا لعاد قوم هود وَأُتْبِعُواْ فِي هَـذِهِ الدُّنْيَا لَعْنَةً وَيَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَلاَ إِنَّ عَادًا كَفَرُواْ رَبَّهُمْ أَلاَ بُعْدًا لِّعَادٍ قَوْمِ هُودٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اس دنیا میں (بھی) ان کے پیچھے لعنت لگا دی گئی اور قیامت کے دن (بھی لگے گی)۔ یاد رکھو کہ (قومِ) عاد نے اپنے رب کے ساتھ کفر کیا تھا۔ خبردار! ہود (علیہ السلام) کی قومِ عاد کے لئے (رحمت سے) دوری ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And they were pursued by a Curse in this life,- and on the Day of Judgment. Ah! Behold! for the 'Ad rejected their Lord and Cherisher! Ah! Behold! removed (from sight) were 'Ad the people of Hud!

[11:56] | Innee tawakkaltu AAala Allahirabbee warabbikum ma min dabbatin illa huwa akhithunbinasiyatiha inna rabbee AAala siratinmustaqeemin | إني توكلت على الله ربي وربكم ما من دابة إلا هو آخذ بناصيتها إن ربي على صراط مستقيم إِنِّي تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللّهِ رَبِّي وَرَبِّكُم مَّا مِن دَآبَّةٍ إِلاَّ هُوَ آخِذٌ بِنَاصِيَتِهَا إِنَّ رَبِّي عَلَى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک میں نے اﷲ پر توکل کر لیا ہے جو میرا (بھی) رب ہے اور تمہارا (بھی) رب ہے، کوئی چلنے والا (جاندار) ایسا نہیں مگر وہ اسے اس کی چوٹی سے پکڑے ہوئے ہے (یعنی مکمل طور پر اس کے قبضۂ قدرت میں ہے)۔ بیشک میرا رب (حق و عدل میں) سیدھی راہ پر (چلنے سے ملتا) ہے | ||||||
