| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [11:65] | FaAAaqarooha faqalatamattaAAoo fee darikum thalathata ayyamin thalikawaAAdun ghayru makthoobin |  فعقروها فقال تمتعوا في داركم ثلاثة أيام ذلك وعد غير مكذوبفَعَقَرُوهَا فَقَالَ تَمَتَّعُواْ فِي دَارِكُمْ ثَلاَثَةَ أَيَّامٍ ذَلِكَ وَعْدٌ غَيْرُ مَكْذُوبٍ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر انہوں نے اسے (کونچیں کاٹ کر) ذبح کر ڈالا، صالح (علیہ السلام) نے کہا: (اب) تم اپنے گھروں میں (صرف) تین دن (تک) عیش کرلو، یہ وعدہ ہے جو (کبھی) جھوٹا نہ ہوگا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But they did ham-string her. So he said: "Enjoy yourselves in your homes for three days: (Then will be your ruin): (Behold) there a promise not to be belied!"

[11:57] | Fa-in tawallaw faqad ablaghtukum maorsiltu bihi ilaykum wayastakhlifu rabbee qawman ghayrakum walatadurroonahu shay-an inna rabbee AAala kullishay-in hafeethun | فإن تولوا فقد أبلغتكم ما أرسلت به إليكم ويستخلف ربي قوما غيركم ولا تضرونه شيئا إن ربي على كل شيء حفيظ فَإِن تَوَلَّوْاْ فَقَدْ أَبْلَغْتُكُم مَّا أُرْسِلْتُ بِهِ إِلَيْكُمْ وَيَسْتَخْلِفُ رَبِّي قَوْمًا غَيْرَكُمْ وَلاَ تَضُرُّونَهُ شَيْئًا إِنَّ رَبِّي عَلَىَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ حَفِيظٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر بھی اگر تم روگردانی کرو تو میں نے واقعۃً وہ (تمام احکام) تمہیں پہنچا دیئے ہیں جنہیں لے کر میں تمہارے پاس بھیجا گیا ہوں، اور میرا رب تمہاری جگہ کسی اور قوم کو قائم مقام بنا دے گا، اور تم اس کا کچھ بھی بگاڑ نہ سکو گے۔ بیشک میرا رب ہر چیز پر نگہبان ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "If ye turn away,- I (at least) have conveyed the Message with which I was sent to you. My Lord will make another people to succeed you, and you will not harm Him in the least. For my Lord hath care and watch over all things."

| 3. [11:67] | Waakhatha allatheena thalamooalssayhatu faasbahoo fee diyarihimjathimeena | وأخذ الذين ظلموا الصيحة فأصبحوا في ديارهم جاثمين وَأَخَذَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ الصَّيْحَةُ فَأَصْبَحُواْ فِي دِيَارِهِمْ جَاثِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ظالم لوگوں کو ہولناک آواز نے آپکڑا، سو انہوں نے صبح اس طرح کی کہ اپنے گھروں میں (مُردہ حالت میں) اوندھے پڑے رہ گئے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | The (mighty) Blast overtook the wrong-doers, and they lay prostrate in their homes before the morning,-

[11:61] | Wa-ila thamooda akhahum salihanqala ya qawmi oAAbudoo Allaha malakum min ilahin ghayruhu huwa anshaakum mina al-ardiwaistaAAmarakum feeha faistaghfiroohu thummatooboo ilayhi inna rabbee qareebun mujeebun | وإلى ثمود أخاهم صالحا قال يا قوم اعبدوا الله ما لكم من إله غيره هو أنشأكم من الأرض واستعمركم فيها فاستغفروه ثم توبوا إليه إن ربي قريب مجيب وَإِلَى ثَمُودَ أَخَاهُمْ صَالِحًا قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُواْ اللّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَـهٍ غَيْرُهُ هُوَ أَنشَأَكُم مِّنَ الْأَرْضِ وَاسْتَعْمَرَكُمْ فِيهَا فَاسْتَغْفِرُوهُ ثُمَّ تُوبُواْ إِلَيْهِ إِنَّ رَبِّي قَرِيبٌ مُّجِيبٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (ہم نے قومِ) ثمود کی طرف ان کے بھائی صالح (علیہ السلام) کو (بھیجا)۔ انہوں نے کہا: اے میری قوم! اﷲ کی عبادت کرو تمہارے لئے اس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں، اسی نے تمہیں زمین سے پیدا فرمایا اور اس میں تمہیں آباد فرمایا سو تم اس سے معافی مانگو پھر اس کے حضور توبہ کرو۔ بیشک میرا رب قریب ہے دعائیں قبول فرمانے والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | To the Thamud People (We sent) Salih, one of their own brethren. He said: "O my people! Worship Allah: ye have no other god but Him. It is He Who hath produced you from the earth and settled you therein: then ask forgiveness of Him, and turn to Him (in repentance): for my Lord is (always) near, ready to answer."

[11:62] | Qaloo ya salihuqad kunta feena marjuwwan qabla hatha atanhanaan naAAbuda ma yaAAbudu abaonawa-innana lafee shakkin mimma tadAAoonailayhi mureebun | قالوا يا صالح قد كنت فينا مرجوا قبل هذا أتنهانا أن نعبد ما يعبد آباؤنا وإننا لفي شك مما تدعونا إليه مريب قَالُواْ يَا صَالِحُ قَدْ كُنتَ فِينَا مَرْجُوًّا قَبْلَ هَـذَا أَتَنْهَانَا أَن نَّعْبُدَ مَا يَعْبُدُ آبَاؤُنَا وَإِنَّنَا لَفِي شَكٍّ مِّمَّا تَدْعُونَا إِلَيْهِ مُرِيبٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہ بولے: اے صالح! اس سے قبل ہماری قوم میں تم ہی امیدوں کا مرکز تھے، کیا تم ہمیں ان (بتوں) کی پرستش کرنے سے روک رہے ہو جن کی ہمارے باپ دادا پرستش کرتے رہے ہیں؟ اور جس (توحید) کی طرف تم ہمیں بلا رہے ہو یقینًا ہم اس کے بارے میں بڑے اضطراب انگیز شک میں مبتلا ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They said: "O Salih! thou hast been of us! a centre of our hopes hitherto! dost thou (now) forbid us the worship of what our fathers worshipped? But we are really in suspicious (disquieting) doubt as to that to which thou invitest us."

| 6. [11:68] | Kaan lam yaghnaw feeha alainna thamooda kafaroo rabbahum ala buAAdan lithamooda | كأن لم يغنوا فيها ألا إن ثمود كفروا ربهم ألا بعدا لثمود كَأَن لَّمْ يَغْنَوْاْ فِيهَا أَلاَ إِنَّ ثَمُودَ كَفرُواْ رَبَّهُمْ أَلاَ بُعْدًا لِّثَمُودَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | گویا وہ کبھی ان میں بسے ہی نہ تھے، یاد رکھو! (قومِ) ثمود نے اپنے رب سے کفر کیا تھا۔ خبردار! (قومِ) ثمود کے لئے (رحمت سے) دوری ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | As if they had never dwelt and flourished there. Ah! Behold! for the Thamud rejected their Lord and Cherisher! Ah! Behold! removed (from sight) were the Thamud!

[11:63] | Qala ya qawmi araaytum inkuntu AAala bayyinatin min rabbee waataneeminhu rahmatan faman yansurunee mina Allahiin AAasaytuhu fama tazeedoonanee ghayra takhseerin | قال يا قوم أرأيتم إن كنت على بينة من ربي وآتاني منه رحمة فمن ينصرني من الله إن عصيته فما تزيدونني غير تخسير قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِن كُنتُ عَلَى بَيِّنَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّي وَآتَانِي مِنْهُ رَحْمَةً فَمَن يَنصُرُنِي مِنَ اللّهِ إِنْ عَصَيْتُهُ فَمَا تَزِيدُونَنِي غَيْرَ تَخْسِـيْـرٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | صالح (علیہ السلام) نے کہا: اے میری قوم! ذرا سوچو تو سہی اگر میں اپنے رب کی طرف سے روشن دلیل پر (قائم) ہوں اور مجھے اس کی جانب سے (خاص) رحمت نصیب ہوئی ہے، (اس کے بعد اس کے احکام تم تک نہ پہنچا کر) اگر میں اس کی نافرمانی کر بیٹھوں تو کون شخص ہے جو اﷲ (کے عذاب) سے بچانے میں میری مدد کرسکتا ہے؟ پس سوائے نقصان پہنچانے کے تم میرا (اور) کچھ نہیں بڑھا سکتے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | He said: "O my people! do ye see? if I have a Clear (Sign) from my Lord and He hath sent Mercy unto me from Himself,- who then can help me against Allah if I were to disobey Him? What then would ye add to my (portion) but perdition?

| Words | |قال - He said,| يا - O| قوم - "O my people!| أرأيتم - Do you see,| إن - if| كنت - I am| على - on| بينة - a clear proof| من - from| ربي - my Lord,| وآتاني - and He has given me| منه - from Him,| رحمة - a Mercy| فمن - then who| ينصرني - (can) help me| من - against| الله - Allah,| إن - if| عصيته - I (were to) disobey Him?| فما - So not| تزيدونني - you would increase me| غير - but| تخسير - (in) loss.| | ||||||
| 8. [11:69] | Walaqad jaat rusuluna ibraheemabialbushra qaloo salaman qalasalamun fama labitha an jaa biAAijlin haneethin | ولقد جاءت رسلنا إبراهيم بالبشرى قالوا سلاما قال سلام فما لبث أن جاء بعجل حنيذ وَلَقَدْ جَاءَتْ رُسُلُنَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ بِالْبُـشْرَى قَالُواْ سَلاَمًا قَالَ سَلاَمٌ فَمَا لَبِثَ أَن جَاءَ بِعِجْلٍ حَنِيذٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بیشک ہمارے فرستادہ فرشتے ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) کے پاس خوشخبری لے کر آئے، انہوں نے سلام کہا، ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) نے بھی (جوابًا) سلام کہا، پھر (آپ علیہ السلام نے) دیر نہ کی یہاں تک کہ (ان کی میزبانی کے لئے) ایک بھنا ہوا بچھڑا لے آئے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | There came Our messengers to Abraham with glad tidings. They said, "Peace!" He answered, "Peace!" and hastened to entertain them with a roasted calf.

[11:64] | Waya qawmi hathihi naqatuAllahi lakum ayatan fatharooha ta/kulfee ardi Allahi wala tamassoohabisoo-in faya/khuthakum AAathabun qareebun | ويا قوم هذه ناقة الله لكم آية فذروها تأكل في أرض الله ولا تمسوها بسوء فيأخذكم عذاب قريب وَيَا قَوْمِ هَـذِهِ نَاقَةُ اللّهِ لَكُمْ آيَةً فَذَرُوهَا تَأْكُلْ فِي أَرْضِ اللّهِ وَلاَ تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوءٍ فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ عَذَابٌ قَرِيبٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اے میری قوم! یہ اﷲ کی (خاص طریقہ سے پیدا کردہ) اونٹنی ہے (جو) تمہارے لئے نشانی ہے سو اسے چھوڑے رکھو (یہ) اﷲ کی زمین میں کھاتی پھرے اور اسے کوئی تکلیف نہ پہنچانا ورنہ تمہیں قریب (واقع ہونے والا) عذاب آپکڑے گا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "And O my people! This she-camel of Allah is a symbol to you: leave her to feed on Allah's (free) earth, and inflict no harm on her, or a swift penalty will seize you!"

| 10. [11:71] | Waimraatuhu qa-imatun fadahikatfabashsharnaha bi-ishaqa wamin wara-iishaqa yaAAqooba | وامرأته قائمة فضحكت فبشرناها بإسحاق ومن وراء إسحاق يعقوب وَامْرَأَتُهُ قَآئِمَةٌ فَضَحِكَتْ فَبَشَّرْنَاهَا بِإِسْحَقَ وَمِن وَرَاءِ إِسْحَقَ يَعْقُوبَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ان کی اہلیہ (سارہ پاس ہی) کھڑی تھیں تو وہ ہنس پڑیں سو ہم نے ان (کی زوجہ) کو اسحاق (علیہ السلام) کی اور اسحاق (علیہ السلام) کے بعد یعقوب (علیہ السلام) کی بشارت دی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And his wife was standing (there), and she laughed: But we gave her glad tidings of Isaac, and after him, of Jacob.

| Words | |وامرأته - And his wife| قائمة - (was) standing| فضحكت - and she laughed.| فبشرناها - Then We gave her glad tidings| بإسحاق - of Isaac,| ومن - and after| وراء - and after| إسحاق - Isaac| يعقوب - (of) Yaqub.| | ||||||

[11:66] | Falamma jaa amrunanajjayna salihan waallatheena amanoomaAAahu birahmatin minna wamin khizyi yawmi-ithininna rabbaka huwa alqawiyyu alAAazeezu | فلما جاء أمرنا نجينا صالحا والذين آمنوا معه برحمة منا ومن خزي يومئذ إن ربك هو القوي العزيز فَلَمَّا جَاءَ أَمْرُنَا نَجَّيْنَا صَالِحًا وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ مَعَهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ مِّنَّا وَمِنْ خِزْيِ يَوْمِئِذٍ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ الْقَوِيُّ الْعَزِيزُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر جب ہمارا حکمِ (عذاب) آپہنچا (تو) ہم نے صالح (علیہ السلام) کو اور جو ان کے ساتھ ایمان والے تھے اپنی رحمت کے سبب سے بچا لیا اور اس دن کی رسوائی سے (بھی نجات بخشی)۔ بیشک آپ کا رب ہی طاقتور غالب ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | When Our Decree issued, We saved Salih and those who believed with him, by (special) Grace from Ourselves - and from the Ignominy of that day. For thy Lord - He is the Strong One, and able to enforce His Will.

| 12. [11:72] | Qalat ya waylata aaliduwaana AAajoozun wahatha baAAlee shaykhan inna hathalashay-on AAajeebun | قالت يا ويلتى أألد وأنا عجوز وهذا بعلي شيخا إن هذا لشيء عجيب قَالَتْ يَا وَيْلَتَى أَأَلِدُ وَأَنَاْ عَجُوزٌ وَهَـذَا بَعْلِي شَيْخًا إِنَّ هَـذَا لَشَيْءٌ عَجِيبٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہ کہنے لگیں: وائے حیرانی! کیا میں بچہ جنوں گی حالانکہ میں بوڑھی (ہو چکی) ہوں اور میرے یہ شوہر (بھی) بوڑھے ہیں! بیشک یہ تو بڑی عجیب چیز ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | She said: "Alas for me! shall I bear a child, seeing I am an old woman, and my husband here is an old man? That would indeed be a wonderful thing!"

[11:70] | Falamma raa aydiyahum latasilu ilayhi nakirahum waawjasa minhum kheefatan qaloola takhaf inna orsilna ila qawmi lootin | فلما رأى أيديهم لا تصل إليه نكرهم وأوجس منهم خيفة قالوا لا تخف إنا أرسلنا إلى قوم لوط فَلَمَّا رَأَى أَيْدِيَهُمْ لاَ تَصِلُ إِلَيْهِ نَكِرَهُمْ وَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةً قَالُواْ لاَ تَخَفْ إِنَّا أُرْسِلْنَا إِلَى قَوْمِ لُوطٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر جب (ابراہیم علیہ السلام نے) دیکھا کہ ان کے ہاتھ اس (کھانے) کی طرف نہیں بڑھ رہے تو انہیں اجنبی سمجھا اور (اپنے) دل میں ان سے کچھ خوف محسوس کرنے لگے، انہوں نے کہا: آپ مت ڈریئے! ہم قومِ لوط کی طرف بھیجے گئے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But when he saw their hands went not towards the (meal), he felt some mistrust of them, and conceived a fear of them. They said: "Fear not: We have been sent against the people of Lut."

[11:73] | Qaloo ataAAjabeena min amri Allahirahmatu Allahi wabarakatuhu AAalaykum ahlaalbayti innahu hameedun majeedun | قالوا أتعجبين من أمر الله رحمت الله وبركاته عليكم أهل البيت إنه حميد مجيد قَالُواْ أَتَعْجَبِينَ مِنْ أَمْرِ اللّهِ رَحْمَتُ اللّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ عَلَيْكُمْ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ إِنَّهُ حَمِيدٌ مَّجِيدٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | فرشتوں نے کہا: کیا تم اﷲ کے حکم پر تعجب کر رہی ہو؟ اے گھر والو! تم پر اﷲ کی رحمت اور اس کی برکتیں ہیں، بیشک وہ قابلِ ستائش (ہے) بزرگی والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They said: "Dost thou wonder at Allah's decree? The grace of Allah and His blessings on you, o ye people of the house! for He is indeed worthy of all praise, full of all glory!"

| 15. [11:74] | Falamma thahaba AAan ibraheemaalrrawAAu wajaat-hu albushra yujadilunafee qawmi lootin | فلما ذهب عن إبراهيم الروع وجاءته البشرى يجادلنا في قوم لوط فَلَمَّا ذَهَبَ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الرَّوْعُ وَجَاءَتْهُ الْبُشْرَى يُجَادِلُنَا فِي قَوْمِ لُوطٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر جب ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) سے خوف جاتا رہا اور ان کے پاس بشارت آچکی تو ہمارے (فرشتوں کے) ساتھ قومِ لوط کے بارے میں جھگڑنے لگے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | When fear had passed from (the mind of) Abraham and the glad tidings had reached him, he began to plead with us for Lut's people.

| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) بڑے متحمل مزاج، آہ و زاری کرنے والے ہر حال میں ہماری طرف رجوع کر نے والے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | For Abraham was, without doubt, forbearing (of faults), compassionate, and given to look to Allah.

| Tahir ul Qadri | (فرشتوں نے کہا:) اے ابراہیم! اس (بات) سے درگزر کیجئے، بیشک اب تو آپ کے رب کا حکمِ (عذاب) آچکا ہے، اور انہیں عذاب پہنچنے ہی والا ہے جو پلٹایا نہیں جا سکتا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | O Abraham! Seek not this. The decree of thy Lord hath gone forth: for them there cometh a penalty that cannot be turned back!

| 18. [11:77] | Walamma jaat rusulunalootan see-a bihim wadaqa bihim tharAAan waqalahatha yawmun AAaseebun | ولما جاءت رسلنا لوطا سيء بهم وضاق بهم ذرعا وقال هذا يوم عصيب وَلَمَّا جَاءَتْ رُسُلُنَا لُوطًا سِيءَ بِهِمْ وَضَاقَ بِهِمْ ذَرْعًا وَقَالَ هَـذَا يَوْمٌ عَصِيبٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور جب ہمارے فرستادہ فرشتے لوط (علیہ السلام) کے پاس آئے (تو) وہ ان کے آنے سے پریشان ہوئے اور ان کے باعث (ان کی) طاقت کمزور پڑ گئی اور کہنے لگے: یہ بہت سخت دن ہے (فرشتے نہایت خوب رُو تھے اور حضرت لوط علیہ السلام کو اپنی قوم کی بری عادت کا علم تھا سو ممکنہ فتنہ کے اندیشہ سے پریشان ہوئے) | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | When Our messengers came to Lut, he was grieved on their account and felt himself powerless (to protect) them. He said: "This is a distressful day."

[11:78] | Wajaahu qawmuhu yuhraAAoona ilayhiwamin qablu kanoo yaAAmaloona alssayyi-ati qalaya qawmi haola-i banatee hunna atharulakum faittaqoo Allaha wala tukhzooni fee dayfeealaysa minkum rajulun rasheedun | وجاءه قومه يهرعون إليه ومن قبل كانوا يعملون السيئات قال يا قوم هؤلاء بناتي هن أطهر لكم فاتقوا الله ولا تخزون في ضيفي أليس منكم رجل رشيد وَجَاءَهُ قَوْمُهُ يُهْرَعُونَ إِلَيْهِ وَمِن قَبْلُ كَانُواْ يَعْمَلُونَ السَّيِّئَاتِ قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ هَـؤُلاَءِ بَنَاتِي هُنَّ أَطْهَرُ لَكُمْ فَاتَّقُواْ اللّهَ وَلاَ تُخْزُونِ فِي ضَيْفِي أَلَيْسَ مِنكُمْ رَجُلٌ رَّشِيدٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (سو وہی ہوا جس کا انہیں اندیشہ تھا) اور لوط (علیہ السلام) کی قوم (مہمانوں کی خبر سنتے ہی) ان کے پاس دوڑتی ہوئی آگئی، اور وہ پہلے ہی برے کام کیا کرتے تھے۔ لوط (علیہ السلام) نے کہا: اے میری (نافرمان) قوم! یہ میری (قوم کی) بیٹیاں ہیں یہ تمہارے لئے (بطریقِ نکاح) پاکیزہ و حلال ہیں سو تم اﷲ سے ڈرو اور میرے مہمانوں میں (اپنی بے حیائی کے باعث) مجھے رسوا نہ کرو! کیا تم میں سے کوئی بھی نیک سیرت آدمی نہیں ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And his people came rushing towards him, and they had been long in the habit of practising abominations. He said: "O my people! Here are my daughters: they are purer for you (if ye marry)! Now fear Allah, and cover me not with shame about my guests! Is there not among you a single right-minded man?"

| 20. [11:79] | Qaloo laqad AAalimta ma lanafee banatika min haqqin wa-innaka lataAAlamu manureedu | قالوا لقد علمت ما لنا في بناتك من حق وإنك لتعلم ما نريد قَالُواْ لَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَا لَنَا فِي بَنَاتِكَ مِنْ حَقٍّ وَإِنَّكَ لَتَعْلَمُ مَا نُرِيدُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہ بولے: تم خوب جانتے ہو کہ ہمیں تمہاری (قوم کی) بیٹیوں سے کوئی غرض نہیں، اور تم یقینًا جانتے ہو جو کچھ ہم چاہتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They said: "Well dost thou know we have no need of thy daughters: indeed thou knowest quite well what we want!"

| 21. [11:80] | Qala law anna lee bikum quwwatan aw aweeila ruknin shadeedin | قال لو أن لي بكم قوة أو آوي إلى ركن شديد قَالَ لَوْ أَنَّ لِي بِكُمْ قُوَّةً أَوْ آوِي إِلَى رُكْنٍ شَدِيدٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | لوط (علیہ السلام) نے کہا: کاش! مجھ میں تمہارے مقابلہ کی ہمت ہوتی یا میں (آج) کسی مضبوط قلعہ میں پناہ لے سکتا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | He said: "Would that I had power to suppress you or that I could betake myself to some powerful support."

[11:82] | Falamma jaa amrunajaAAalna AAaliyaha safilahawaamtarna AAalayha hijaratanmin sijjeelin mandoodin | فلما جاء أمرنا جعلنا عاليها سافلها وأمطرنا عليها حجارة من سجيل منضود فَلَمَّا جَاءَ أَمْرُنَا جَعَلْنَا عَالِيَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهَا حِجَارَةً مِّن سِجِّيلٍ مَّنضُودٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر جب ہمارا حکمِ (عذاب) آپہنچا تو ہم نے (الٹ کر) اس بستی کے اوپر کے حصہ کو نچلا حصہ کر دیا اور ہم نے اس پر پتھر اور پکی ہوئی مٹی کے کنکر برسائے جو پے در پے (اور تہ بہ تہ) گرتے رہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | When Our Decree issued, We turned (the cities) upside down, and rained down on them brimstones hard as baked clay, spread, layer on layer,-

[11:81] | Qaloo ya lootu innarusulu rabbika lan yasiloo ilayka faasri bi-ahlika biqitAAinmina allayli wala yaltafit minkum ahadun illaimraataka innahu museebuha ma asabahuminna mawAAidahumu alssubhu alaysa alssubhubiqareebin | قالوا يا لوط إنا رسل ربك لن يصلوا إليك فأسر بأهلك بقطع من الليل ولا يلتفت منكم أحد إلا امرأتك إنه مصيبها ما أصابهم إن موعدهم الصبح أليس الصبح بقريب قَالُواْ يَا لُوطُ إِنَّا رُسُلُ رَبِّكَ لَن يَصِلُواْ إِلَيْكَ فَأَسْرِ بِأَهْلِكَ بِقِطْعٍ مِّنَ اللَّيْلِ وَلاَ يَلْتَفِتْ مِنكُمْ أَحَدٌ إِلاَّ امْرَأَتَكَ إِنَّهُ مُصِيبُهَا مَا أَصَابَهُمْ إِنَّ مَوْعِدَهُمُ الصُّبْحُ أَلَيْسَ الصُّبْحُ بِقَرِيبٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (تب فرشتے) کہنے لگے: اے لوط! ہم آپ کے رب کے بھیجے ہوئے ہیں۔ یہ لوگ تم تک ہرگز نہ پہنچ سکیں گے، پس آپ اپنے گھر والوں کو رات کے کچھ حصہ میں لے کر نکل جائیں اور تم میں سے کوئی مڑ کر (پیچھے) نہ دیکھے مگر اپنی عورت کو (ساتھ نہ لینا)، یقینًا اسے (بھی) وہی (عذاب) پہنچنے والا ہے جو انہیں پہنچے گا۔ بیشک ان (کے عذاب) کا مقررہ وقت صبح (کا) ہے، کیا صبح قریب نہیں ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | (The Messengers) said: "O Lut! We are Messengers from thy Lord! By no means shall they reach thee! now travel with thy family while yet a part of the night remains, and let not any of you look back: but thy wife (will remain behind): To her will happen what happens to the people. Morning is their time appointed: Is not the morning nigh?"

| 24. [11:83] | Musawwamatan AAinda rabbika wama hiyamina alththalimeena bibaAAeedin | مسومة عند ربك وما هي من الظالمين ببعيد مُّسَوَّمَةً عِندَ رَبِّكَ وَمَا هِيَ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ بِبَعِيدٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جو آپ کے رب کی طرف سے نشان کئے ہوئے تھے، اور یہ (سنگ ریزوں کا عذاب) ظالموں سے (اب بھی) کچھ دور نہیں ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Marked as from thy Lord: Nor are they ever far from those who do wrong!

[11:84] | Wa-ila madyana akhahumshuAAayban qala ya qawmi oAAbudoo Allaha malakum min ilahin ghayruhu wala tanqusooalmikyala waalmeezana innee arakumbikhayrin wa-innee akhafu AAalaykum AAathaba yawminmuheetin | وإلى مدين أخاهم شعيبا قال يا قوم اعبدوا الله ما لكم من إله غيره ولا تنقصوا المكيال والميزان إني أراكم بخير وإني أخاف عليكم عذاب يوم محيط وَإِلَى مَدْيَنَ أَخَاهُمْ شُعَيْبًا قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُواْ اللّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَـهٍ غَيْرُهُ وَلاَ تَنقُصُواْ الْمِكْيَالَ وَالْمِيزَانَ إِنِّيَ أَرَاكُم بِخَيْرٍ وَإِنِّيَ أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ مُّحِيطٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (ہم نے اہلِ) مدین کی طرف ان کے بھائی شعیب (علیہ السلام کو بھیجا)، انہوں نے کہا: اے میری قوم! اﷲ کی عبادت کرو تمہارے لئے اس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں ہے، اور ناپ اور تول میں کمی مت کیا کرو بیشک میں تمہیں آسودہ حال دیکھتا ہوں اور میں تم پر ایسے دن کے عذاب کا خوف (محسوس) کرتا ہوں جو (تمہیں) گھیر لینے والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | To the Madyan People (We sent) Shu'aib, one of their own brethren: he said: "O my people! worship Allah: Ye have no other god but Him. And give not short measure or weight: I see you in prosperity, but I fear for you the penalty of a day that will compass (you) all round.

[11:85] | Waya qawmi awfoo almikyala waalmeezanabialqisti wala tabkhasoo alnnasaashyaahum wala taAAthaw fee al-ardimufsideena | ويا قوم أوفوا المكيال والميزان بالقسط ولا تبخسوا الناس أشياءهم ولا تعثوا في الأرض مفسدين وَيَا قَوْمِ أَوْفُواْ الْمِكْيَالَ وَالْمِيزَانَ بِالْقِسْطِ وَلاَ تَبْخَسُواْ النَّاسَ أَشْيَاءَهُمْ وَلاَ تَعْثَوْاْ فِي الْأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اے میری قوم! تم ناپ اور تول انصاف کے ساتھ پورے کیا کرو اور لوگوں کو ان کی چیزیں گھٹا کر نہ دیا کرو اور فساد کرنے والے بن کر ملک میں تباہی مت مچاتے پھرو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "And O my people! give just measure and weight, nor withhold from the people the things that are their due: commit not evil in the land with intent to do mischief.

| 27. [11:86] | Baqiyyatu Allahi khayrun lakum inkuntum mu/mineena wama ana AAalaykum bihafeethin | بقيت الله خير لكم إن كنتم مؤمنين وما أنا عليكم بحفيظ بَقِيَّةُ اللّهِ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ وَمَا أَنَاْ عَلَيْكُم بِحَفِيظٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جو اﷲ کے دیئے میں بچ رہے (وہی) تمہارے لئے بہتر ہے اگر تم ایمان والے ہو، اور میں تم پر نگہبان نہیں ہوں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "That which is left you by Allah is best for you, if ye (but) believed! but I am not set over you to keep watch!"

| 28. [11:90] | Waistaghfiroo rabbakum thumma toobooilayhi inna rabbee raheemun wadoodun | واستغفروا ربكم ثم توبوا إليه إن ربي رحيم ودود وَاسْتَغْفِرُواْ رَبَّكُمْ ثُمَّ تُوبُواْ إِلَيْهِ إِنَّ رَبِّي رَحِيمٌ وَدُودٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور تم اپنے رب سے مغفرت مانگو پھر اس کے حضور (صدقِ دل سے) توبہ کرو، بیشک میرا رب نہایت مہربان محبت فرمانے والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "But ask forgiveness of your Lord, and turn unto Him (in repentance): For my Lord is indeed full of mercy and loving-kindness."

[11:87] | Qaloo ya shuAAaybu asalatukata/muruka an natruka ma yaAAbudu abaonaaw an nafAAala fee amwalina ma nashaoinnaka laanta alhaleemu alrrasheedu | قالوا يا شعيب أصلاتك تأمرك أن نترك ما يعبد آباؤنا أو أن نفعل في أموالنا ما نشاء إنك لأنت الحليم الرشيد قَالُواْ يَا شُعَيْبُ أَصَلاَتُكَ تَأْمُرُكَ أَن نَّتْرُكَ مَا يَعْبُدُ آبَاؤُنَا أَوْ أَن نَّفْعَلَ فِي أَمْوَالِنَا مَا نَشَاءُ إِنَّكَ لَأَنتَ الْحَلِيمُ الرَّشِيدُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہ بولے! اے شعیب! کیا تمہاری نماز تمہیں یہی حکم دیتی ہے کہ ہم ان (معبودوں) کو چھوڑ دیں جن کی پرستش ہمارے باپ دادا کرتے رہے ہیں یا یہ کہ ہم جو کچھ اپنے اموال کے بارے میں چاہیں (نہ) کریں؟ بیشک تم ہی (ایک) بڑے تحمل والے ہدایت یافتہ (رہ گئے) ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They said: "O Shu'aib! Does thy (religion of) prayer command thee that we leave off the worship which our fathers practised, or that we leave off doing what we like with our property? truly, thou art the one that forbeareth with faults and is right-minded!"

[11:92] | Qala ya qawmi arahteeaAAazzu AAalaykum mina Allahi waittakhathtumoohuwaraakum thihriyyan inna rabbee bimataAAmaloona muheetun | قال يا قوم أرهطي أعز عليكم من الله واتخذتموه وراءكم ظهريا إن ربي بما تعملون محيط قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ أَرَهْطِي أَعَزُّ عَلَيْكُم مِّنَ اللّهِ وَاتَّخَذْتُمُوهُ وَرَاءَكُمْ ظِهْرِيًّا إِنَّ رَبِّي بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ مُحِيطٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | شعیب (علیہ السلام) نے کہا: اے میری قوم! کیا میرا کنبہ تمہارے نزدیک اﷲ سے زیادہ معزز ہے، اور تم نے اسے (یعنی اللہ تعالیٰ کو گویا) اپنے پس پشت ڈال رکھا ہے۔ بیشک میرا رب تمہارے (سب) کاموں کو احاطہ میں لئے ہوئے ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | He said: "O my people! is then my family of more consideration with you than Allah? For ye cast Him away behind your backs (with contempt). But verily my Lord encompasseth on all sides all that ye do!
