| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [9:70] | Alam ya/tihim nabao allatheena minqablihim qawmi noohin waAAadin wathamooda waqawmiibraheema waas-habi madyana waalmu/tafikatiatat-hum rusuluhum bialbayyinati fama kanaAllahu liyathlimahum walakin kanooanfusahum yathlimoona |  ألم يأتهم نبأ الذين من قبلهم قوم نوح وعاد وثمود وقوم إبراهيم وأصحاب مدين والمؤتفكات أتتهم رسلهم بالبينات فما كان الله ليظلمهم ولكن كانوا أنفسهم يظلمونأَلَمْ يَأْتِهِمْ نَبَأُ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ قَوْمِ نُوحٍ وَعَادٍ وَثَمُودَ وَقَوْمِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَأَصْحَابِ مَدْيَنَ وَالْمُؤْتَفِكَاتِ أَتَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَمَا كَانَ اللّهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ وَلَـكِن كَانُواْ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | کیا ان کے پاس ان لوگوں کی خبر نہیں پہنچی جو ان سے پہلے تھے، قومِ نوح اور عاد اور ثمود اور قومِ ابراہیم اور باشندگانِ مدین اور ان بستیوں کے مکین جو الٹ دی گئیں، ان کے پاس (بھی) ان کے رسول واضح نشانیاں لے کر آئے تھے (مگر انہوں نے نافرمانی کی) پس اللہ تو ایسا نہ تھا کہ ان پر ظلم کرتا لیکن وہ (انکارِ حق کے باعث) اپنے اوپر خود ہی ظلم کرتے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Hath not the story reached them of those before them?- the People of Noah, and 'Ad, and Thamud; the People of Abraham, the men of Midian, and the cities overthrown. To them came their messengers with clear signs. It is not Allah Who wrongs them, but they wrong their own souls.

| 2. [22:44] | Waas-habu madyana wakuththibamoosa faamlaytu lilkafireena thumma akhathtuhumfakayfa kana nakeeri | وأصحاب مدين وكذب موسى فأمليت للكافرين ثم أخذتهم فكيف كان نكير وَأَصْحَابُ مَدْيَنَ وَكُذِّبَ مُوسَى فَأَمْلَيْتُ لِلْكَافِرِينَ ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُهُمْ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور باشندگانِ مدین نے (بھی جھٹلایا تھا) اور موسٰی (علیہ السلام) کو بھی جھٹلایا گیا سو میں (ان سب) کافروں کو مہلت دیتا رہا پھر میں نے انہیں پکڑ لیا، پھر (بتائیے) میرا عذاب کیسا تھا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And the Companions of the Madyan People; and Moses was rejected (in the same way). But I granted respite to the Unbelievers, and (only) after that did I punish them: but how (terrible) was my rejection (of them)!

| 3. [25:38] | WaAAadan wathamooda waas-habaalrrassi waquroonan bayna thalika katheeran | وعادا وثمود وأصحاب الرس وقرونا بين ذلك كثيرا وَعَادًا وَثَمُودَاْ وَأَصْحَابَ الرَّسِّ وَقُرُونًا بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ كَثِيرًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور عاد اور ثمود اور باشندگانِ رس کو، اور ان کے درمیان بہت سی(اور) امتوں کو (بھی ہلاک کر ڈالا) | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | As also 'Ad and Thamud, and the Companions of the Rass, and many a generation between them.

| 4. [29:15] | Faanjaynahu waas-haba alssafeenatiwajaAAalnaha ayatan lilAAalameena | فأنجيناه وأصحاب السفينة وجعلناها آية للعالمين فَأَنْجَيْنَاهُ وَأَصْحَابَ السَّفِينَةِ وَجَعَلْنَاهَا آيَةً لِّلْعَالَمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر ہم نے نوح (علیہ السلام) کو اور (ان کے ہمراہ) کشتی والوں کو نجات بخشی اور ہم نے اس (کشتی اور واقعہ) کو تمام جہان والوں کے لئے نشانی بنا دیا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But We saved him and the companions of the Ark, and We made the (Ark) a Sign for all peoples!

| 5. [38:13] | Wathamoodu waqawmu lootin waas-habual-aykati ola-ika al-ahzabu | وثمود وقوم لوط وأصحاب الأيكة أولئك الأحزاب وَثَمُودُ وَقَوْمُ لُوطٍ وَأَصْحَابُ الْأَيْكَةِ أُوْلَئِكَ الْأَحْزَابُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ثمود نے اور قومِ لوط نے اور اَیکہ (بَن) کے رہنے والوں نے (یعنی قومِ شعیب نے) بھی (جھٹلایا تھا)، یہی وہ بڑے لشکر تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And Thamud, and the people of Lut, and the Companions of the Wood; - such were the Confederates.

| 6. [50:12] | Kaththabat qablahum qawmu noohinwaas-habu alrrassi wathamoodu | كذبت قبلهم قوم نوح وأصحاب الرس وثمود كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَأَصْحَابُ الرَّسِّ وَثَمُودُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اِن (کفّارِ مکہ) سے پہلے قومِ نوح نے، اور (سرزمینِ یمامہ کے اندھے) کنویں والوں نے، اور (مدینہ سے شام کی طرف تبوک کے قریب بستیِ حجر میں آباد صالح علیہ السلام کی قوم) ثمود نے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Before them was denied (the Hereafter) by the People of Noah, the Companions of the Rass, the Thamud,

| 7. [50:14] | Waas-habu al-aykati waqawmutubbaAAin kullun kaththaba alrrusula fahaqqawaAAeedi | وأصحاب الأيكة وقوم تبع كل كذب الرسل فحق وعيد وَأَصْحَابُ الْأَيْكَةِ وَقَوْمُ تُبَّعٍ كُلٌّ كَذَّبَ الرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ وَعِيدِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (مَدیَن کے گھنے درختوں والے بَن) اَیکہ کے رہنے والوں نے (یہ قومِ شعیب تھی) اور (بادشاہِ یَمن اسعَد ابوکریب) تُبّع (الحِمیَری) کی قوم نے، (الغرض اِن) سب نے رسولوں کو جھٹلایا، پس (اِن پر) میرا وعدۂ عذاب ثابت ہو کر رہا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | The Companions of the Wood, and the People of Tubba'; each one (of them) rejected the messengers, and My warning was duly fulfilled (in them).

| Tahir ul Qadri | اہلِ دوزخ اور اہلِ جنت برابر نہیں ہوسکتے، اہلِ جنت ہی کامیاب و کامران ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Not equal are the Companions of the Fire and the Companions of the Garden: it is the Companions of the Garden, that will achieve Felicity.
