| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [25:30] | Waqala alrrasoolu yarabbi inna qawmee ittakhathoo hatha alqur-anamahjooran |  وقال الرسول يا رب إن قومي اتخذوا هذا القرآن مهجوراوَقَالَ الرَّسُولُ يَا رَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِي اتَّخَذُوا هَذَا الْقُرْآنَ مَهْجُورًا | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور رسولِ (اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) عرض کریں گے: اے رب! بیشک میری قوم نے اس قرآن کو بالکل ہی چھوڑ رکھا تھا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Then the Messenger will say: "O my Lord! Truly my people took this Qur'an for just foolish nonsense."

| Words | |وقال - And said| الرسول - the Messenger,| يا - O| رب - "O my Lord!| إن - Indeed,| قومي - my people| اتخذوا - took| هذا - this| القرآن - the Quran| مهجورا - (as) a forsaken thing."| | ||||||
| 2. [25:31] | Wakathalika jaAAalna likullinabiyyin AAaduwwan mina almujrimeena wakafa birabbika hadiyanwanaseeran | وكذلك جعلنا لكل نبي عدوا من المجرمين وكفى بربك هاديا ونصيرا وَكَذَلِكَ جَعَلْنَا لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ عَدُوًّا مِّنَ الْمُجْرِمِينَ وَكَفَى بِرَبِّكَ هَادِيًا وَنَصِيرًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اسی طرح ہم نے ہر نبی کے لئے جرائم شعار لوگوں میں سے (ان کے) دشمن بنائے تھے (جو ان کے پیغمبرانہ مشن کی مخالفت کرتے اور اس طرح حق اور باطل قوتوں کے درمیان تضاد پیدا ہوتا جس سے انقلاب کے لئے سازگار فضا تیار ہو جاتی تھی)، اور آپ کا رب ہدایت کرنے اور مدد فرمانے کے لئے کافی ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Thus have We made for every prophet an enemy among the sinners: but enough is thy Lord to guide and to help.

| Words | |وكذلك - And thus| جعلنا - We have made| لكل - for every| نبي - Prophet| عدوا - an enemy,| من - among| المجرمين - the criminals.| وكفى - But sufficient is| بربك - your Lord,| هاديا - (as) a Guide| ونصيرا - and a Helper.| | ||||||

[25:32] | Waqala allatheena kafaroo lawlanuzzila AAalayhi alqur-anu jumlatan wahidatan kathalikalinuthabbita bihi fu-adaka warattalnahu tarteelan | وقال الذين كفروا لولا نزل عليه القرآن جملة واحدة كذلك لنثبت به فؤادك ورتلناه ترتيلا وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ عَلَيْهِ الْقُرْآنُ جُمْلَةً وَاحِدَةً كَذَلِكَ لِنُثَبِّتَ بِهِ فُؤَادَكَ وَرَتَّلْنَاهُ تَرْتِيلًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور کافر کہتے ہیں کہ اس (رسول) پر قرآن ایک ہی بار (یک جا کرکے) کیوں نہیں اتارا گیا؟ یوں (تھوڑا تھوڑا کر کے اسے) تدریجاً اس لئے اتارا گیا ہے تاکہ ہم اس سے آپ کے قلبِ (اطہر) کو قوت بخشیں اور (اسی وجہ سے) ہم نے اسے ٹھہر ٹھہر کر پڑھا ہے (تاکہ آپ کو ہمارے پیغام کے ذریعے بار بار سکونِ قلب ملتا رہے) | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Those who reject Faith say: "Why is not the Qur'an revealed to him all at once? Thus (is it revealed), that We may strengthen thy heart thereby, and We have rehearsed it to thee in slow, well-arranged stages, gradually.

| Words | |وقال - And said| الذين - those who| كفروا - disbelieve,| لولا - "Why not| نزل - was revealed| عليه - to him| القرآن - the Quran| جملة - all at once?"| واحدة - all at once?"| كذلك - Thus,| لنثبت - that We may strengthen| به - thereby| فؤادك - your heart,| ورتلناه - and We have recited it| ترتيلا - (with distinct) recitation.| | ||||||
| 4. [25:33] | Wala ya/toonaka bimathalin illaji/naka bialhaqqi waahsana tafseeran | ولا يأتونك بمثل إلا جئناك بالحق وأحسن تفسيرا وَلَا يَأْتُونَكَ بِمَثَلٍ إِلَّا جِئْنَاكَ بِالْحَقِّ وَأَحْسَنَ تَفْسِيرًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور یہ (کفار) آپ کے پاس کوئی (ایسی) مثال (سوال اور اعتراض کے طور پر) نہیں لاتے مگر ہم آپ کے پاس (اس کے جواب میں) حق اور (اس سے) بہتر وضاحت کا بیان لے آتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And no question do they bring to thee but We reveal to thee the truth and the best explanation (thereof).

| Words | |ولا - And not| يأتونك - they come to you| بمثل - with an example| إلا - but| جئناك - We bring you| بالحق - the truth,| وأحسن - and (the) best| تفسيرا - explanation.| | ||||||
| 5. [25:34] | Allatheena yuhsharoona AAalawujoohihim ila jahannama ola-ika sharrun makananwaadallu sabeelan | الذين يحشرون على وجوههم إلى جهنم أولئك شر مكانا وأضل سبيلا الَّذِينَ يُحْشَرُونَ عَلَى وُجُوهِهِمْ إِلَى جَهَنَّمَ أُوْلَئِكَ شَرٌّ مَّكَانًا وَأَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (یہ) ایسے لوگ ہیں جو اپنے چہروں کے بل دوزخ کی طرف ہانکے جائیں گے یہی لوگ ہیں جو ٹھکانے کے لحاظ سے نہایت برے اور راستے سے (بھی) بہت بہکے ہوئے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Those who will be gathered to Hell (prone) on their faces,- they will be in an evil plight, and, as to Path, most astray.

| Words | |الذين - Those who| يحشرون - will be gathered| على - on| وجوههم - their faces| إلى - to| جهنم - Hell,| أولئك - those| شر - (are the) worst| مكانا - (in) position| وأضل - and most astray| سبيلا - (from the) way.| | ||||||
| 6. [25:35] | Walaqad atayna moosaalkitaba wajaAAalna maAAahu akhahu haroonawazeeran | ولقد آتينا موسى الكتاب وجعلنا معه أخاه هارون وزيرا وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ وَجَعَلْنَا مَعَهُ أَخَاهُ هَارُونَ وَزِيرًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بیشک ہم نے موسٰی (علیہ السلام) کو کتاب عطا فرمائی اور ہم نے ان کے ساتھ (ان کی معاونت کے لئے) ان کے بھائی ہارون (علیہ السلام) کو وزیر بنایا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | (Before this,) We sent Moses The Book, and appointed his brother Aaron with him as minister;

| Words | |ولقد - And verily,| آتينا - We gave| موسى - Musa| الكتاب - the Scripture| وجعلنا - and We appointed| معه - with him| أخاه - his brother| هارون - Harun| وزيرا - (as) an assistant.| | ||||||
| 7. [25:36] | Faqulna ithhaba ilaalqawmi allatheena kaththaboo bi-ayatinafadammarnahum tadmeeran | فقلنا اذهبا إلى القوم الذين كذبوا بآياتنا فدمرناهم تدميرا فَقُلْنَا اذْهَبَا إِلَى الْقَوْمِ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا فَدَمَّرْنَاهُمْ تَدْمِيرًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر ہم نے کہا: تم دونوں اس قوم کے پاس جاؤ جنہوں نے ہماری آیتوں کو جھٹلایا ہے (جب وہ ہماری تکذیب سے پھر بھی باز نہ آئے) تو ہم نے انہیں بالکل ہی ہلاک کر ڈالا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And We command: "Go ye both, to the people who have rejected our Signs:" And those (people) We destroyed with utter destruction.

| Words | |فقلنا - Then We said,| اذهبا - "Go both of you| إلى - to| القوم - the people,| الذين - those who| كذبوا - have denied,| بآياتنا - Our Signs."| فدمرناهم - Then We destroyed them| تدميرا - (with) destruction.| | ||||||
| 8. [25:37] | Waqawma noohin lamma kaththabooalrrusula aghraqnahum wajaAAalnahum lilnnasiayatan waaAAtadna lilththalimeenaAAathaban aleeman | وقوم نوح لما كذبوا الرسل أغرقناهم وجعلناهم للناس آية وأعتدنا للظالمين عذابا أليما وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ لَّمَّا كَذَّبُوا الرُّسُلَ أَغْرَقْنَاهُمْ وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ لِلنَّاسِ آيَةً وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِلظَّالِمِينَ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور نوح (علیہ السلام) کی قوم کو (بھی)، جب انہوں نے رسولوں کو جھٹلایا (تو) ہم نے انہیں غرق کر ڈالا اور ہم نے انہیں (دوسرے) لوگوں کے لئے نشانِ عبرت بنا دیا اور ہم نے ظالموں کے لئے درد ناک عذاب تیار کر رکھا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And the people of Noah,- when they rejected the messengers, We drowned them, and We made them as a Sign for mankind; and We have prepared for (all) wrong-doers a grievous Penalty;-

| Words | |وقوم - And (the) people| نوح - (of) Nuh,| لما - when| كذبوا - they denied| الرسل - the Messengers,| أغرقناهم - We drowned them| وجعلناهم - and We made them| للناس - for mankind| آية - a sign.| وأعتدنا - And We have prepared| للظالمين - for the wrongdoers.| عذابا - a punishment| أليما - painful.| | ||||||
| 9. [25:38] | WaAAadan wathamooda waas-habaalrrassi waquroonan bayna thalika katheeran | وعادا وثمود وأصحاب الرس وقرونا بين ذلك كثيرا وَعَادًا وَثَمُودَاْ وَأَصْحَابَ الرَّسِّ وَقُرُونًا بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ كَثِيرًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور عاد اور ثمود اور باشندگانِ رس کو، اور ان کے درمیان بہت سی(اور) امتوں کو (بھی ہلاک کر ڈالا) | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | As also 'Ad and Thamud, and the Companions of the Rass, and many a generation between them.
| ||||||
| Words | |وعادا - And Ad| وثمود - and Thamud| وأصحاب - and (the) dwellers| الرس - (of) Ar-rass| وقرونا - and generations| بين - between| ذلك - that| كثيرا - many.| | ||||||
| 10. [25:39] | Wakullan darabna lahu al-amthalawakullan tabbarna tatbeeran | وكلا ضربنا له الأمثال وكلا تبرنا تتبيرا وَكُلًّا ضَرَبْنَا لَهُ الْأَمْثَالَ وَكُلًّا تَبَّرْنَا تَتْبِيرًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم نے (ان میں سے) ہر ایک (کی نصیحت) کے لئے مثالیں بیان کیں اور (جب وہ سرکشی سے باز نہ آئے تو) ہم نے ان سب کو نیست و نابود کر دیا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | To each one We set forth Parables and examples; and each one We broke to utter annihilation (for their sins).

| Words | |وكلا - And each| ضربنا - We have set forth| له - for him| الأمثال - the examples,| وكلا - and each| تبرنا - We destroyed| تتبيرا - (with) destruction.| | ||||||
| 11. [25:40] | Walaqad ataw AAala alqaryati allateeomtirat matara alssaw-i afalam yakoonooyarawnaha bal kanoo la yarjoona nushooran | ولقد أتوا على القرية التي أمطرت مطر السوء أفلم يكونوا يرونها بل كانوا لا يرجون نشورا وَلَقَدْ أَتَوْا عَلَى الْقَرْيَةِ الَّتِي أُمْطِرَتْ مَطَرَ السَّوْءِ أَفَلَمْ يَكُونُوا يَرَوْنَهَا بَلْ كَانُوا لَا يَرْجُونَ نُشُورًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بیشک یہ (کفار) اس بستی پر سے گزرے ہیں جس پر بری طرح (پتھروں کی) بارش برسائی گئی تھی، تو کیا یہ اس (تباہ شدہ بستی) کو دیکھتے نہ تھے بلکہ یہ تو (مرنے کے بعد) اٹھائے جانے کی امید ہی نہیں رکھتے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And the (Unbelievers) must indeed have passed by the town on which was rained a shower of evil: did they not then see it (with their own eyes)? But they fear not the Resurrection.

| Words | |ولقد - And verily,| أتوا - they have come| على - upon| القرية - the town| التي - which| أمطرت - was showered| مطر - (with) a rain| السوء - (of) evil.| أفلم - Then do not| يكونوا - they [were]| يرونها - see it?| بل - Nay,| كانوا - they are| لا - not| يرجون - expecting| نشورا - Resurrection.| | ||||||
| 12. [25:41] | Wa-itha raawka in yattakhithoonakailla huzuwan ahatha allathee baAAatha Allahurasoolan | وإذا رأوك إن يتخذونك إلا هزوا أهذا الذي بعث الله رسولا وَإِذَا رَأَوْكَ إِن يَتَّخِذُونَكَ إِلَّا هُزُوًا أَهَذَا الَّذِي بَعَثَ اللَّهُ رَسُولًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (اے حبیبِ مکرّم!) جب (بھی) وہ آپ کو دیکھتے ہیں آپ کا مذاق اڑانے کے سوا کچھ نہیں کرتے (اور کہتے ہیں:) کیا یہی وہ (شخص) ہے جسے اللہ نے رسول بنا کر بھیجا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | When they see thee, they treat thee no otherwise than in mockery: "Is this the one whom Allah has sent as a messenger?"

| Words | |وإذا - And when| رأوك - they see you,| إن - not| يتخذونك - they take you| إلا - except| هزوا - (in) mockery,| أهذا - "Is this| الذي - the one whom| بعث - Allah has sent| الله - Allah has sent| رسولا - (as) a Messenger?| | ||||||
| 13. [25:42] | In kada layudillunaAAan alihatina lawla an sabarnaAAalayha wasawfa yaAAlamoona heena yarawna alAAathabaman adallu sabeelan | إن كاد ليضلنا عن آلهتنا لولا أن صبرنا عليها وسوف يعلمون حين يرون العذاب من أضل سبيلا إِن كَادَ لَيُضِلُّنَا عَنْ آلِهَتِنَا لَوْلَا أَن صَبَرْنَا عَلَيْهَا وَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ حِينَ يَرَوْنَ الْعَذَابَ مَنْ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | قریب تھا کہ یہ ہمیں ہمارے معبودوں سے بہکا دیتا اگر ہم ان (کی پرستش) پر ثابت قدم نہ رہتے اور وہ عنقریب جان لیں گے جس وقت عذاب دیکھیں گے کہ کون زیادہ گمراہ تھا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "He indeed would well-nigh have misled us from our gods, had it not been that we were constant to them!" - Soon will they know, when they see the Penalty, who it is that is most misled in Path!

| Words | |إن - He would have almost| كاد - He would have almost| ليضلنا - [surely] misled us| عن - from| آلهتنا - our gods| لولا - if not| أن - that| صبرنا - we had been steadfast| عليها - to them."| وسوف - And soon| يعلمون - will know| حين - when| يرون - they will see| العذاب - the punishment,| من - who| أضل - (is) more astray| سبيلا - (from the) way.| | ||||||
| 14. [25:43] | Araayta mani ittakhatha ilahahuhawahu afaanta takoonu AAalayhi wakeelan | أرأيت من اتخذ إلهه هواه أفأنت تكون عليه وكيلا أَرَأَيْتَ مَنِ اتَّخَذَ إِلَهَهُ هَوَاهُ أَفَأَنتَ تَكُونُ عَلَيْهِ وَكِيلًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | کیا آپ نے اس شخص کو دیکھا ہے جس نے اپنی خواہشِ نفس کو اپنا معبود بنا لیا ہے؟ تو کیا آپ اس پر نگہبان بنیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Seest thou such a one as taketh for his god his own passion (or impulse)? Couldst thou be a disposer of affairs for him?

| Words | |أرأيت - Have you seen| من - (one) who| اتخذ - takes| إلهه - (as) his god| هواه - his own desire?| أفأنت - Then would you| تكون - be| عليه - over him| وكيلا - a guardian?| | ||||||

[25:44] | Am tahsabu anna aktharahumyasmaAAoona aw yaAAqiloona in hum illa kaal-anAAamibal hum adallu sabeelan | أم تحسب أن أكثرهم يسمعون أو يعقلون إن هم إلا كالأنعام بل هم أضل سبيلا أَمْ تَحْسَبُ أَنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ يَسْمَعُونَ أَوْ يَعْقِلُونَ إِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا كَالْأَنْعَامِ بَلْ هُمْ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | کیا آپ یہ خیال کرتے ہیں کہ ان میں سے اکثر لوگ سنتے یا سمجھتے ہیں؟ (نہیں) وہ تو چوپایوں کی مانند (ہو چکے) ہیں بلکہ ان سے بھی بدتر گمراہ ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Or thinkest thou that most of them listen or understand? They are only like cattle;- nay, they are worse astray in Path.

| Words | |أم - Or| تحسب - do you think| أن - that| أكثرهم - most of them| يسمعون - hear| أو - or| يعقلون - understand?| إن - Not| هم - they| إلا - (are) except| كالأنعام - like cattle.| بل - Nay,| هم - they| أضل - (are) more astray| سبيلا - (from the) way.| | ||||||

[25:45] | Alam tara ila rabbika kayfa madda alththillawalaw shaa lajaAAalahu sakinan thumma jaAAalnaalshshamsa AAalayhi daleelan | ألم تر إلى ربك كيف مد الظل ولو شاء لجعله ساكنا ثم جعلنا الشمس عليه دليلا أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى رَبِّكَ كَيْفَ مَدَّ الظِّلَّ وَلَوْ شَاءَ لَجَعَلَهُ سَاكِنًا ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَا الشَّمْسَ عَلَيْهِ دَلِيلًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | کیا آپ نے اپنے رب (کی قدرت) کی طرف نگاہ نہیں ڈالی کہ وہ کس طرح (دوپہر تک) سایہ دراز کرتا ہے اور اگر وہ چاہتا تو اسے ضرور ساکن کر دیتا پھر ہم نے سورج کو اس (سایہ) پر دلیل بنایا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Hast thou not turned thy vision to thy Lord?- How He doth prolong the shadow! If He willed, He could make it stationary! then do We make the sun its guide;

| Words | |ألم - Do you not| تر - see| إلى - [to]| ربك - your Lord| كيف - how| مد - He extends| الظل - the shadow?| ولو - And if| شاء - He willed,| لجعله - surely He (could) have made it| ساكنا - stationary.| ثم - Then| جعلنا - We made| الشمس - the sun| عليه - for it| دليلا - an indication.| | ||||||
| 17. [25:46] | Thumma qabadnahu ilaynaqabdan yaseeran | ثم قبضناه إلينا قبضا يسيرا ثُمَّ قَبَضْنَاهُ إِلَيْنَا قَبْضًا يَسِيرًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر ہم آہستہ آہستہ اس (سایہ) کو اپنی طرف کھینچ کر سمیٹ لیتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Then We draw it in towards Ourselves,- a contraction by easy stages.
| ||||||
| Words | |ثم - Then| قبضناه - We withdraw it| إلينا - to Us,| قبضا - a withdrawal| يسيرا - gradual.| | ||||||
| 18. [25:47] | Wahuwa allathee jaAAala lakumuallayla libasan waalnnawma subatan wajaAAalaalnnahara nushooran | وهو الذي جعل لكم الليل لباسا والنوم سباتا وجعل النهار نشورا وَهُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ اللَّيْلَ لِبَاسًا وَالنَّوْمَ سُبَاتًا وَجَعَلَ النَّهَارَ نُشُورًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور وہی ہے جس نے تمہارے لئے رات کو پوشاک (کی طرح ڈھانک لینے والا) بنایا اور نیند کو (تمہارے لئے) آرام (کا باعث) بنایا اور دن کو (کام کاج کے لئے) اٹھ کھڑے ہونے کا وقت بنایا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And He it is Who makes the Night as a Robe for you, and Sleep as Repose, and makes the Day (as it were) a Resurrection.

| Words | |وهو - And He| الذي - (is) the One Who| جعل - made| لكم - for you| الليل - the night| لباسا - (as) a covering| والنوم - and the sleep| سباتا - a rest| وجعل - and made| النهار - the day| نشورا - a resurrection.| | ||||||

[25:48] | Wahuwa allathee arsala alrriyahabushran bayna yaday rahmatihi waanzalna mina alssama-imaan tahooran | وهو الذي أرسل الرياح بشرا بين يدي رحمته وأنزلنا من السماء ماء طهورا وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَ الرِّيَاحَ بُشْرًا بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَحْمَتِهِ وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً طَهُورًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور وہی ہے جو اپنی رحمت (کی بارش) سے پہلے ہواؤں کو خوشخبری بنا کر بھیجتا ہے، اور ہم ہی آسمان سے پاک (صاف کرنے والا) پانی اتارتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And He it is Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His mercy, and We send down pure water from the sky,-

| 20. [25:49] | Linuhyiya bihi baldatan maytanwanusqiyahu mimma khalaqna anAAaman waanasiyyakatheeran | لنحيي به بلدة ميتا ونسقيه مما خلقنا أنعاما وأناسي كثيرا لِنُحْيِيَ بِهِ بَلْدَةً مَّيْتًا وَنُسْقِيَهُ مِمَّا خَلَقْنَا أَنْعَامًا وَأَنَاسِيَّ كَثِيرًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | تاکہ اس کے ذریعے ہم (کسی بھی) مُردہ شہر کو زندگی بخشیں اور (مزید یہ کہ) ہم یہ (پانی) اپنے پیدا کئے ہوئے بہت سے چوپایوں اور (بادیہ نشین) انسانوں کو پلائیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | That with it We may give life to a dead land, and slake the thirst of things We have created,- cattle and men in great numbers.

| Words | |لنحيي - That We may give life| به - thereby| بلدة - (to) a land| ميتا - dead| ونسقيه - and We give drink| مما - thereof| خلقنا - (to those) We created,| أنعاما - cattle| وأناسي - and men| كثيرا - many.| | ||||||
| 21. [25:50] | Walaqad sarrafnahu baynahumliyaththakkaroo faaba aktharu alnnasiilla kufooran | ولقد صرفناه بينهم ليذكروا فأبى أكثر الناس إلا كفورا وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَاهُ بَيْنَهُمْ لِيَذَّكَّرُوا فَأَبَى أَكْثَرُ النَّاسِ إِلَّا كُفُورًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بیشک ہم اس (بارش) کو ان کے درمیان (مختلف شہروں اور وقتوں کے حساب سے) گھماتے (رہتے) ہیں تاکہ وہ غور و فکر کریں پھر بھی اکثر لوگوں نے بجز ناشکری کے (کچھ) قبول نہ کیا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And We have distributed the (water) amongst them, in order that they may celebrate (our) praises, but most men are averse (to aught) but (rank) ingratitude.

| Words | |ولقد - And verily,| صرفناه - We have distributed it| بينهم - among them| ليذكروا - that they may remember,| فأبى - but refuse| أكثر - most| الناس - (of) the people| إلا - except| كفورا - disbelief.| | ||||||
| 22. [25:51] | Walaw shi/na labaAAathna feekulli qaryatin natheeran | ولو شئنا لبعثنا في كل قرية نذيرا وَلَوْ شِئْنَا لَبَعَثْنَا فِي كُلِّ قَرْيَةٍ نَذِيرًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اگر ہم چاہتے تو ہر ایک بستی میں ایک ڈر سنانے والا بھیج دیتے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Had it been Our Will, We could have sent a warner to every centre of population.

| Words | |ولو - And if| شئنا - We willed,| لبعثنا - surely, We (would) have raised| في - in| كل - every| قرية - town| نذيرا - a warner.| | ||||||
| 23. [25:52] | Fala tutiAAi alkafireenawajahidhum bihi jihadan kabeeran | فلا تطع الكافرين وجاهدهم به جهادا كبيرا فَلَا تُطِعِ الْكَافِرِينَ وَجَاهِدْهُم بِهِ جِهَادًا كَبِيرًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پس (اے مردِ مومن!) تو کافروں کا کہنا نہ مان اور تو اس (قرآن کی دعوت اور دلائل) کے ذریعے ان کے ساتھ بڑا جہاد کر | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Therefore listen not to the Unbelievers, but strive against them with the utmost strenuousness, with the (Qur'an).

| Words | |فلا - So (do) not| تطع - obey| الكافرين - the disbelievers| وجاهدهم - and strive (against) them| به - with it,| جهادا - a striving| كبيرا - great.| | ||||||

[25:53] | Wahuwa allathee maraja albahraynihatha AAathbun furatun wahatha milhunojajun wajaAAala baynahuma barzakhan wahijranmahjooran | وهو الذي مرج البحرين هذا عذب فرات وهذا ملح أجاج وجعل بينهما برزخا وحجرا محجورا وَهُوَ الَّذِي مَرَجَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ هَذَا عَذْبٌ فُرَاتٌ وَهَذَا مِلْحٌ أُجَاجٌ وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخًا وَحِجْرًا مَّحْجُورًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور وہی ہے جس نے دو دریاؤں کو ملا دیا۔ یہ (ایک) میٹھا نہایت شیریں ہے اور یہ (دوسرا) کھاری نہایت تلخ ہے۔ اور اس نے ان دونوں کے درمیان ایک پردہ اور مضبوط رکاوٹ بنا دی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | It is He Who has let free the two bodies of flowing water: One palatable and sweet, and the other salt and bitter; yet has He made a barrier between them, a partition that is forbidden to be passed.

| 25. [25:54] | Wahuwa allathee khalaqa mina alma-ibasharan fajaAAalahu nasaban wasihran wakanarabbuka qadeeran | وهو الذي خلق من الماء بشرا فجعله نسبا وصهرا وكان ربك قديرا وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ مِنَ الْمَاءِ بَشَرًا فَجَعَلَهُ نَسَبًا وَصِهْرًا وَكَانَ رَبُّكَ قَدِيرًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور وہی ہے جس نے پانی (کی مانند ایک نطفہ) سے آدمی کو پیدا کیا پھر اسے نسب اور سسرال (کی قرابت) والا بنایا، اور آپ کا رب بڑی قدرت والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | It is He Who has created man from water: then has He established relationships of lineage and marriage: for thy Lord has power (over all things).

[25:55] | WayaAAbudoona min dooni Allahi mala yanfaAAuhum wala yadurruhum wakanaalkafiru AAala rabbihi thaheeran | ويعبدون من دون الله ما لا ينفعهم ولا يضرهم وكان الكافر على ربه ظهيرا وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُهُمْ وَلَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَكَانَ الْكَافِرُ عَلَى رَبِّهِ ظَهِيرًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور وہ (کفار) اللہ کے سوا ان (بتوں) کی عبادت کرتے ہیں جو انہیں نہ (تو) نفع پہنچا سکتے ہیں اور نہ (ہی) انہیں نقصان پہنچا سکتے ہیں، اور کافر اپنے رب (کی نافرمانی) پر (ہمیشہ شیطان کا) مددگار ہوتا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Yet do they worship, besides Allah, things that can neither profit them nor harm them: and the Misbeliever is a helper (of Evil), against his own Lord!

| 27. [25:56] | Wama arsalnaka illamubashshiran wanatheeran | وما أرسلناك إلا مبشرا ونذيرا وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلَّا مُبَشِّرًا وَنَذِيرًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم نے آپ کو نہیں بھیجا مگر (اللہ کے اطاعت گزار بندوں کو) خوشخبری سنانے والا اور (بغاوت شعار لوگوں کو) ڈر سنانے والا بنا کر | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But thee We only sent to give glad tidings and admonition.

| Words | |وما - And not| أرسلناك - We sent you| إلا - except| مبشرا - (as) a bearer of glad tidings| ونذيرا - and a warner.| | ||||||
| 28. [25:57] | Qul ma as-alukum AAalayhi min ajrinilla man shaa an yattakhitha ilarabbihi sabeelan | قل ما أسألكم عليه من أجر إلا من شاء أن يتخذ إلى ربه سبيلا قُلْ مَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِلَّا مَن شَاءَ أَن يَتَّخِذَ إِلَى رَبِّهِ سَبِيلًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | آپ فرما دیجئے کہ میں تم سے اس (تبلیغ) پر کچھ بھی معاوضہ نہیں مانگتا مگر جو شخص اپنے رب تک (پہنچنے کا) راستہ اختیار کرنا چاہتا ہے (کرلے) | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Say: "No reward do I ask of you for it but this: that each one who will may take a (straight) Path to his Lord."

[25:58] | Watawakkal AAala alhayyi allatheela yamootu wasabbih bihamdihi wakafabihi bithunoobi AAibadihi khabeeran | وتوكل على الحي الذي لا يموت وسبح بحمده وكفى به بذنوب عباده خبيرا وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى الْحَيِّ الَّذِي لَا يَمُوتُ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِهِ وَكَفَى بِهِ بِذُنُوبِ عِبَادِهِ خَبِيرًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور آپ اس (ہمیشہ) زندہ رہنے والے (رب) پر بھروسہ کیجئے جو کبھی نہیں مرے گا اور اس کی تعریف کے ساتھ تسبیح کرتے رہئے، اور اس کا اپنے بندوں کے گناہوں سے باخبر ہونا کافی ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And put thy trust in Him Who lives and dies not; and celebrate his praise; and enough is He to be acquainted with the faults of His servants;-

[25:59] | Allathee khalaqa alssamawatiwaal-arda wama baynahuma fee sittatiayyamin thumma istawa AAala alAAarshi alrrahmanufais-al bihi khabeeran | الذي خلق السماوات والأرض وما بينهما في ستة أيام ثم استوى على العرش الرحمن فاسأل به خبيرا الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوَى عَلَى الْعَرْشِ الرَّحْمَنُ فَاسْأَلْ بِهِ خَبِيرًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جس نے آسمانی کرّوں اور زمین کو اور اس (کائنات) کو جو ان دونوں کے درمیان ہے چھ اَدوار میں پیدا فرمایا٭ پھر وہ (حسبِ شان) عرش پر جلوہ افروز ہوا (وہ) رحمان ہے، (اے معرفتِ حق کے طالب!) تو اس کے بارے میں کسی باخبر سے پوچھ (بے خبر اس کا حال نہیں جانتے) | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | He Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between, in six days, and is firmly established on the Throne (of Authority): Allah Most Gracious: ask thou, then, about Him of any acquainted (with such things).
