| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [51:29] | Faaqbalati imraatuhu fee sarratin fasakkatwajhaha waqalat AAajoozun AAaqeemun |  فأقبلت امرأته في صرة فصكت وجهها وقالت عجوز عقيمفَأَقْبَلَتِ امْرَأَتُهُ فِي صَرَّةٍ فَصَكَّتْ وَجْهَهَا وَقَالَتْ عَجُوزٌ عَقِيمٌ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر اُن کی بیوی (سارہ) حیرت و حسرت کی آواز نکالتے ہوئے متوجہ ہوئیں اور تعجّب سے اپنے ماتھے پر ہاتھ مارا اور کہنے لگی: (کیا) بوڑھیا بانجھ عورت (بچہ جنے گی؟) | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But his wife came forward (laughing) aloud: she smote her forehead and said: "A barren old woman!"

| Words | |فأقبلت - Then came forward| امرأته - his wife| في - with| صرة - a loud voice,| فصكت - and struck| وجهها - her face| وقالت - and she said,| عجوز - "An old woman| عقيم - barren!"| | ||||||
| 2. [51:30] | Qaloo kathaliki qalarabbuki innahu huwa alhakeemu alAAaleemu | قالوا كذلك قال ربك إنه هو الحكيم العليم قَالُوا كَذَلِكَ قَالَ رَبُّكِ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْحَكِيمُ الْعَلِيمُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (فرشتوں نے) کہا: ایسے ہی ہوگا، تمہارے رب نے فرمایا ہے۔ بیشک وہ بڑی حکمت والا بہت علم والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They said, "Even so has thy Lord spoken: and He is full of Wisdom and Knowledge."

| Words | |قالوا - They said,| كذلك - "Thus| قال - said| ربك - your Lord.| إنه - Indeed, He| هو - [He]| الحكيم - (is) the All-Wise,| العليم - the All-Knower."| | ||||||
| 3. [51:31] | Qala fama khatbukumayyuha almursaloona | قال فما خطبكم أيها المرسلون قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ أَيُّهَا الْمُرْسَلُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (ابراہیم علیہ السلام نے) کہا: اے بھیجے ہوئے فرشتو! (اس بشارت کے علاوہ) تمہارا (آنے کا) بنیادی مقصد کیا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | (Abraham) said: "And what, O ye Messengers, is your errand (now)?"

| Words | |قال - He said,| فما - "Then what| خطبكم - (is) your mission,| أيها - O messengers?"| المرسلون - O messengers?"| | ||||||
| 4. [51:32] | Qaloo inna orsilna ilaqawmin mujrimeena | قالوا إنا أرسلنا إلى قوم مجرمين قَالُوا إِنَّا أُرْسِلْنَا إِلَى قَوْمٍ مُّجْرِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | انہوں نے کہا: ہم مجرِم قوم (یعنی قومِ لُوط) کی طرف بھیجے گئے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They said, "We have been sent to a people (deep) in sin;-
| ||||||
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| إنا - "Indeed, we| أرسلنا - [we] have been sent| إلى - to| قوم - a people| مجرمين - criminal,| | ||||||
| 5. [51:33] | Linursila AAalayhim hijaratanmin teenin | لنرسل عليهم حجارة من طين لِنُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِّن طِينٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | تاکہ ہم اُن پر مٹی کے پتھریلے کنکر برسائیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "To bring on, on them, (a shower of) stones of clay (brimstone),
| ||||||
| Words | |لنرسل - That we may send down| عليهم - upon them| حجارة - stones| من - of| طين - clay,| | ||||||
| 6. [51:35] | Faakhrajna man kana feehamina almu/mineena | فأخرجنا من كان فيها من المؤمنين فَأَخْرَجْنَا مَن كَانَ فِيهَا مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر ہم نے ہر اُس شخص کو (قومِ لُوط کی بستی سے) باہر نکال دیا جو اس میں اہلِ ایمان میں سے تھا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Then We evacuated those of the Believers who were there,
| ||||||
| Words | |فأخرجنا - Then We brought out| من - (those) who| كان - were| فيها - therein| من - of| المؤمنين - the believers.| | ||||||
| 7. [51:36] | Fama wajadna feehaghayra baytin mina almuslimeena | فما وجدنا فيها غير بيت من المسلمين فَمَا وَجَدْنَا فِيهَا غَيْرَ بَيْتٍ مِّنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | سو ہم نے اُس بستی میں مسلمانوں کے ایک گھر کے سوا (اور کوئی گھر) نہیں پایا (اس میں حضرت لوط علیہ السلام اور ان کی دو صاحبزادیاں تھیں) | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But We found not there any just (Muslim) persons except in one house:

| Words | |فما - But not| وجدنا - We found| فيها - therein| غير - other than| بيت - a house| من - of| المسلمين - the Muslims.| | ||||||
| 8. [51:37] | Watarakna feeha ayatanlillatheena yakhafoona alAAathaba al-aleema | وتركنا فيها آية للذين يخافون العذاب الأليم وَتَرَكْنَا فِيهَا آيَةً لِّلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ الْعَذَابَ الْأَلِيمَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم نے اُس (بستی) میں اُن لوگوں کے لئے (عبرت کی) ایک نشانی باقی رکھی جو دردناک عذاب سے ڈرتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And We left there a Sign for such as fear the Grievous Penalty.

| Words | |وتركنا - And We left| فيها - therein| آية - a Sign| للذين - for those who| يخافون - fear| العذاب - the punishment| الأليم - the painful.| | ||||||
| 9. [51:38] | Wafee moosa ith arsalnahuila firAAawna bisultanin mubeenin | وفي موسى إذ أرسلناه إلى فرعون بسلطان مبين وَفِي مُوسَى إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَاهُ إِلَى فِرْعَوْنَ بِسُلْطَانٍ مُّبِينٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور موسٰی (علیہ السلام کے واقعہ) میں (بھی نشانیاں ہیں) جب ہم نے انہیں فرعون کی طرف واضح دلیل دے کر بھیجا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And in Moses (was another Sign): Behold, We sent him to Pharaoh, with authority manifest.
| ||||||
| Words | |وفي - And in| موسى - Musa,| إذ - when| أرسلناه - We sent him| إلى - to| فرعون - Firaun| بسلطان - with an authority| مبين - clear.| | ||||||
| 10. [51:39] | Fatawalla biruknihi waqala sahirunaw majnoonun | فتولى بركنه وقال ساحر أو مجنون فَتَوَلَّى بِرُكْنِهِ وَقَالَ سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | تو اُس نے اپنے اراکینِ سلطنت سمیت رُوگردانی کی اور کہنے لگا: (یہ) جادوگر یا دیوانہ ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But (Pharaoh) turned back with his Chiefs, and said, "A sorcerer, or one possessed!"

| Words | |فتولى - But he turned away| بركنه - with his supporters| وقال - and said,| ساحر - "A magician| أو - or| مجنون - a madman."| | ||||||
| 11. [51:40] | Faakhathnahu wajunoodahufanabathnahum fee alyammi wahuwa muleemun | فأخذناه وجنوده فنبذناهم في اليم وهو مليم فَأَخَذْنَاهُ وَجُنُودَهُ فَنَبَذْنَاهُمْ فِي الْيَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر ہم نے اُسے اور اُس کے لشکر کو (عذاب کی) گرفت میں لے لیا اور اُن (سب) کو دریا میں غرق کر دیا اور وہ تھا ہی قابلِ ملامت کام کرنے والا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | So We took him and his forces, and threw them into the sea; and his was the blame.
| ||||||
| Words | |فأخذناه - So We took him| وجنوده - and his hosts| فنبذناهم - and threw them| في - into| اليم - the sea,| وهو - while he| مليم - (was) blameworthy.| | ||||||
| 12. [51:41] | Wafee AAadin ith arsalnaAAalayhimu alrreeha alAAaqeema | وفي عاد إذ أرسلنا عليهم الريح العقيم وَفِي عَادٍ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ الرِّيحَ الْعَقِيمَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (قومِ) عاد (کی ہلاکت) میں بھی (نشانی) ہے جبکہ ہم نے اُن پر بے خیر و برکت ہوا بھیجی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And in the 'Ad (people) (was another Sign): Behold, We sent against them the devastating Wind:

| Words | |وفي - And in| عاد - Aad,| إذ - when| أرسلنا - We sent| عليهم - against them| الريح - the wind| العقيم - the barren.| | ||||||
| 13. [51:42] | Ma tatharu min shay-in atatAAalayhi illa jaAAalat-hu kaalrrameemi | ما تذر من شيء أتت عليه إلا جعلته كالرميم مَا تَذَرُ مِن شَيْءٍ أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا جَعَلَتْهُ كَالرَّمِيمِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہ جس چیز پر بھی گزرتی تھی اسے ریزہ ریزہ کئے بغیر نہیں چھوڑتی تھی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | It left nothing whatever that it came up against, but reduced it to ruin and rottenness.
| ||||||
| Words | |ما - Not| تذر - it left| من - any| شيء - thing| أتت - it came| عليه - upon it,| إلا - but| جعلته - it made it| كالرميم - like disintegrated ruins.| | ||||||
| 14. [51:43] | Wafee thamooda ith qeela lahumtamattaAAoo hatta heenin | وفي ثمود إذ قيل لهم تمتعوا حتى حين وَفِي ثَمُودَ إِذْ قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَمَتَّعُوا حَتَّى حِينٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (قومِ) ثمود (کی ہلاکت) میں بھی (عبرت کی نشانی ہے) جبکہ اُن سے کہا گیا کہ تم ایک معیّنہ وقت تک فائدہ اٹھا لو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And in the Thamud (was another Sign): Behold, they were told, "Enjoy (your brief day) for a little while!"

| Words | |وفي - And in| ثمود - Thamud,| إذ - when| قيل - was said| لهم - to them,| تمتعوا - "Enjoy (yourselves)| حتى - for| حين - a time."| | ||||||
| 15. [51:44] | FaAAataw AAan amri rabbihim faakhathat-humualssaAAiqatu wahum yanthuroona | فعتوا عن أمر ربهم فأخذتهم الصاعقة وهم ينظرون فَعَتَوْا عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّاعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | تو انہوں نے اپنے رب کے حکم سے سرکشی کی، پس انہیں ہولناک کڑک نے آن لیا اور وہ دیکھتے ہی رہ گئے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord: So the stunning noise (of an earthquake) seized them, even while they were looking on.

| Words | |فعتوا - But they rebelled| عن - against| أمر - (the) Command| ربهم - (of) their Lord,| فأخذتهم - so seized them| الصاعقة - the thunderbolt| وهم - while they| ينظرون - were looking.| | ||||||
| 16. [51:45] | Fama istataAAoo min qiyaminwama kanoo muntasireena | فما استطاعوا من قيام وما كانوا منتصرين فَمَا اسْتَطَاعُوا مِن قِيَامٍ وَمَا كَانُوا مُنتَصِرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر وہ نہ کھڑے رہنے پر قدرت پا سکے اور نہ وہ (ہم سے) بدلہ لے سکنے والے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Then they could not even stand (on their feet), nor could they help themselves.
| ||||||
| Words | |فما - Then not| استطاعوا - they were able to| من - [of]| قيام - stand| وما - and not| كانوا - they could| منتصرين - help themselves.| | ||||||
| 17. [51:46] | Waqawma noohin min qablu innahum kanooqawman fasiqeena | وقوم نوح من قبل إنهم كانوا قوما فاسقين وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِّن قَبْلُ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمًا فَاسِقِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اس سے پہلے نُوح (علیہ السلام) کی قوم کو (بھی ہلاک کیا)، بیشک وہ سخت نافرمان لوگ تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | So were the People of Noah before them for they wickedly transgressed.
| ||||||
| Words | |وقوم - And (the) people| نوح - (of) Nuh| من - before;| قبل - before;| إنهم - indeed, they| كانوا - were| قوما - a people| فاسقين - defiantly disobedient.| | ||||||
| 18. [51:47] | Waalssamaa banaynahabi-aydin wa-inna lamoosiAAoona | والسماء بنيناها بأيد وإنا لموسعون وَالسَّمَاءَ بَنَيْنَاهَا بِأَيْدٍ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور آسمانی کائنات کو ہم نے بڑی قوت کے ذریعہ سے بنایا اور یقیناً ہم (اس کائنات کو) وسعت اور پھیلاؤ دیتے جا رہے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | With power and skill did We construct the Firmament: for it is We Who create the vastness of pace.
| ||||||
| Words | |والسماء - And the heaven| بنيناها - We constructed it| بأيد - with strength,| وإنا - and indeed, We| لموسعون - (are) surely (its) Expanders.| | ||||||
| 19. [51:49] | Wamin kulli shay-in khalaqna zawjaynilaAAallakum tathakkaroona | ومن كل شيء خلقنا زوجين لعلكم تذكرون وَمِن كُلِّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَيْنِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم نے ہر چیز سے دو جوڑے پیدا فرمائے تاکہ تم دھیان کرو اور سمجھو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And of every thing We have created pairs: That ye may receive instruction.
| ||||||
| Words | |ومن - And of| كل - every| شيء - thing| خلقنا - We have created| زوجين - pairs,| لعلكم - so that you may| تذكرون - remember.| | ||||||
| 20. [51:50] | Fafirroo ila Allahi inneelakum minhu natheerun mubeenun | ففروا إلى الله إني لكم منه نذير مبين فَفِرُّوا إِلَى اللَّهِ إِنِّي لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پس تم اﷲ کی طرف دوڑ چلو، بیشک میں اُس کی طرف سے تمہیں کھلا ڈر سنانے والا ہوں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Hasten ye then (at once) to Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open!

| Words | |ففروا - So flee| إلى - to| الله - Allah,| إني - indeed, I am| لكم - to you| منه - from Him| نذير - a warner| مبين - clear.| | ||||||
| 21. [51:51] | Wala tajAAaloo maAAa Allahi ilahanakhara innee lakum minhu natheerun mubeenun | ولا تجعلوا مع الله إلها آخر إني لكم منه نذير مبين وَلَا تَجْعَلُوا مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَهًا آخَرَ إِنِّي لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اﷲ کے سوا کوئی دوسرا معبود نہ بناؤ، بیشک میں اس کی جانب سے تمہیں کھلا ڈر سنانے والا ہوں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And make not another an object of worship with Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open!

| Words | |ولا - And (do) not| تجعلوا - make| مع - with| الله - Allah| إلها - god| آخر - another.| إني - Indeed, I am| لكم - to you| منه - from Him| نذير - a warner| مبين - clear.| | ||||||
| 22. [51:52] | Kathalika ma ata allatheenamin qablihim min rasoolin illa qaloo sahirunaw majnoonun | كذلك ما أتى الذين من قبلهم من رسول إلا قالوا ساحر أو مجنون كَذَلِكَ مَا أَتَى الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا قَالُوا سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اسی طرح اُن سے پہلے لوگوں کے پاس بھی کوئی رسول نہیں آیا مگر انہوں نے یہی کہا کہ (یہ) جادوگر ہے یا دیوانہ ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Similarly, no messenger came to the Peoples before them, but they said (of him) in like manner, "A sorcerer, or one possessed"!

| Words | |كذلك - Likewise| ما - not| أتى - came| الذين - (to) those| من - before them| قبلهم - before them| من - any| رسول - Messenger| إلا - but| قالوا - they said,| ساحر - "A magician| أو - or| مجنون - a madman."| | ||||||
| 23. [51:53] | Atawasaw bihi bal hum qawmun taghoona | أتواصوا به بل هم قوم طاغون أَتَوَاصَوْا بِهِ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | کیا وہ لوگ ایک دوسرے کواس بات کی وصیت کرتے رہے؟ بلکہ وہ (سب) سرکش و باغی لوگ تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Is this the legacy they have transmitted, one to another? Nay, they are themselves a people transgressing beyond bounds!

| Words | |أتواصوا - Have they transmitted it to them?| به - Have they transmitted it to them?| بل - Nay,| هم - they| قوم - (are) a people| طاغون - transgressing.| | ||||||
| 24. [51:54] | Fatawalla AAanhum fama anta bimaloomin | فتول عنهم فما أنت بملوم فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَمَا أَنتَ بِمَلُومٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | سو آپ اُن سے نظرِ التفات ہٹا لیں پس آپ پر (اُن کے ایمان نہ لانے کی) کوئی ملامت نہیں ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | So turn away from them: not thine is the blame.
| ||||||
| Words | |فتول - So turn away| عنهم - from them,| فما - for not| أنت - you| بملوم - (are) to be blamed.| | ||||||
| 25. [51:55] | Wathakkir fa-inna alththikratanfaAAu almu/mineena | وذكر فإن الذكرى تنفع المؤمنين وَذَكِّرْ فَإِنَّ الذِّكْرَى تَنفَعُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور آپ نصیحت کرتے رہیں کہ بیشک نصیحت مومنوں کو فائدہ دیتی ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But teach (thy Message) for teaching benefits the Believers.
| ||||||
| Words | |وذكر - And remind,| فإن - for indeed,| الذكرى - the reminder| تنفع - benefits| المؤمنين - the believers.| | ||||||
| 26. [51:56] | Wama khalaqtu aljinna waal-insailla liyaAAbudooni | وما خلقت الجن والإنس إلا ليعبدون وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور میں نے جنّات اور انسانوں کو صرف اسی لئے پیدا کیا کہ وہ میری بندگی اختیار کریں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | I have only created Jinns and men, that they may serve Me.
| ||||||
| Words | |وما - And not| خلقت - I have created| الجن - the jinn| والإنس - and the mankind| إلا - except| ليعبدون - that they worship Me.| | ||||||
| 27. [51:57] | Ma oreedu minhum min rizqin wamaoreedu an yutAAimooni | ما أريد منهم من رزق وما أريد أن يطعمون مَا أُرِيدُ مِنْهُم مِّن رِّزْقٍ وَمَا أُرِيدُ أَن يُطْعِمُونِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | نہ میں اُن سے رِزق (یعنی کمائی) طلب کرتا ہوں اور نہ اس کا طلب گار ہوں کہ وہ مجھے (کھانا) کھلائیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | No Sustenance do I require of them, nor do I require that they should feed Me.
| ||||||
| Words | |ما - Not| أريد - I want| منهم - from them| من - any| رزق - provision| وما - and not| أريد - I want| أن - that| يطعمون - they (should) feed Me.| | ||||||
| 28. [51:58] | Inna Allaha huwa alrrazzaquthoo alquwwati almateenu | إن الله هو الرزاق ذو القوة المتين إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الرَّزَّاقُ ذُو الْقُوَّةِ الْمَتِينُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک اﷲ ہی ہر ایک کا روزی رساں ہے، بڑی قوت والا ہے، زبردست مضبوط ہے (اسے کسی کی مدد و تعاون کی حاجت نہیں) | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | For Allah is He Who gives (all) Sustenance,- Lord of Power,- Steadfast (for ever).

| Words | |إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah,| هو - He| الرزاق - (is) the All-Provider,| ذو - Possessor| القوة - (of) Power| المتين - the Strong.| | ||||||
| 29. [51:59] | Fa-inna lillatheena thalamoothanooban mithla thanoobi as-habihimfala yastaAAjiloona | فإن للذين ظلموا ذنوبا مثل ذنوب أصحابهم فلا يستعجلون فَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا ذَنُوبًا مِّثْلَ ذَنُوبِ أَصْحَابِهِمْ فَلَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پس ان ظالموں کے لئے (بھی) حصۂ عذاب مقرّر ہے ان کے (پہلے گزرے ہوئے) ساتھیوں کے حصۂ عذاب کی طرح، سو وہ مجھ سے جلدی طلب نہ کریں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | For the Wrong-doers, their portion is like unto the portion of their fellows (of earlier generations): then let them not ask Me to hasten (that portion)!

| Words | |فإن - So indeed,| للذين - for those who| ظلموا - do wrong,| ذنوبا - (is) a portion| مثل - like| ذنوب - (the) portion| أصحابهم - (of) their companions,| فلا - so let them not ask Me to hasten.| يستعجلون - so let them not ask Me to hasten.| | ||||||
| 30. [51:60] | Fawaylun lillatheena kafaroo minyawmihimu allathee yooAAadoona | فويل للذين كفروا من يومهم الذي يوعدون فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِن يَوْمِهِمُ الَّذِي يُوعَدُونَ | |||||
