| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [56:31] | Wama-in maskoobin |  وماء مسكوبوَمَاءٍ مَّسْكُوبٍ | |||||

| Yousuf Ali | By water flowing constantly,

| Words | |وماء - And water| مسكوب - poured forth,| | ||||||
| 2. [56:32] | Wafakihatin katheeratin | وفاكهة كثيرة وَفَاكِهَةٍ كَثِيرَةٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بکثرت پھلوں اور میووں میں (لطف اندوز ہوں گے) | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And fruit in abundance.

| Words | |وفاكهة - And fruit| كثيرة - abundant,| | ||||||
| 3. [56:33] | La maqtooAAatin walamamnooAAatin | لا مقطوعة ولا ممنوعة لَّا مَقْطُوعَةٍ وَلَا مَمْنُوعَةٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جو نہ (کبھی) ختم ہوں گے اور نہ اُن (کے کھانے) کی ممانعت ہوگی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Whose season is not limited, nor (supply) forbidden,
| ||||||
| Words | |لا - Not| مقطوعة - limited| ولا - and not| ممنوعة - forbidden,| | ||||||
| 4. [56:34] | Wafurushin marfooAAatin | وفرش مرفوعة وَفُرُشٍ مَّرْفُوعَةٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (وہ) اونچے (پرشکوہ) فرشوں پر (قیام پذیر) ہوں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And on Thrones (of Dignity), raised high.
| ||||||
| Words | |وفرش - And (on) couches| مرفوعة - raised.| | ||||||
| 5. [56:35] | Inna ansha/nahunna inshaan | إنا أنشأناهن إنشاء إِنَّا أَنشَأْنَاهُنَّ إِنشَاءً | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک ہم نے اِن (حوروں) کو (حسن و لطافت کی آئینہ دار) خاص خِلقت پر پیدا فرمایا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | We have created (their Companions) of special creation.
| ||||||
| Words | |إنا - Indeed, We| أنشأناهن - [We] have produced them| إنشاء - (into) a creation,| | ||||||
| 6. [56:36] | FajaAAalnahunna abkaran | فجعلناهن أبكارا فَجَعَلْنَاهُنَّ أَبْكَارًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر ہم نے اِن کو کنواریاں بنایا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And made them virgin - pure (and undefiled), -

| Words | |فجعلناهن - And We have made them| أبكارا - virgins,| | ||||||
| 7. [56:37] | AAuruban atraban | عربا أترابا عُرُبًا أَتْرَابًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جو خوب محبت کرنے والی ہم عمر (ازواج) ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Beloved (by nature), equal in age,-
| ||||||
| Words | |عربا - Devoted,| أترابا - equals in age.| | ||||||
| 8. [56:38] | Li-as-habi alyameeni | لأصحاب اليمين لِّأَصْحَابِ الْيَمِينِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | یہ (حوریں اور دیگر نعمتیں) دائیں جانب والوں کے لئے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | For the Companions of the Right Hand.

| 9. [56:39] | Thullatun mina al-awwaleena | ثلة من الأولين ثُلَّةٌ مِّنَ الْأَوَّلِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (ان میں) بڑی جماعت اگلے لوگوں میں سے ہوگی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | A (goodly) number from those of old,

| Words | |ثلة - A company| من - of| الأولين - the former people,| | ||||||
| 10. [56:40] | Wathullatun mina al-akhireena | وثلة من الآخرين وَثُلَّةٌ مِّنَ الْآخِرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (ان میں) پچھلے لوگوں میں سے (بھی) بڑی ہی جماعت ہوگی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And a (goodly) number from those of later times.

| Words | |وثلة - And a company| من - of| الآخرين - the later people.| | ||||||
| 11. [56:41] | Waas-habu alshshimalima as-habu alshshimali | وأصحاب الشمال ما أصحاب الشمال وَأَصْحَابُ الشِّمَالِ مَا أَصْحَابُ الشِّمَالِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بائیں جانب والے، کیا (ہی برے لوگ) ہیں بائیں جانب والے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | The Companions of the Left Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Left Hand?
| ||||||
| Words | |وأصحاب - And (the) companions| الشمال - (of) the left,| ما - what| أصحاب - (are the) companions| الشمال - (of) the left?| | ||||||
| 12. [56:42] | Fee samoomin wahameemin | في سموم وحميم فِي سَمُومٍ وَحَمِيمٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جو دوزخ کی سخت گرم ہوا اور کھولتے ہوئے پانی میں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | (They will be) in the midst of a Fierce Blast of Fire and in Boiling Water,

| Words | |في - In| سموم - scorching fire| وحميم - and scalding water,| | ||||||
| 13. [56:43] | Wathillin min yahmoomin | وظل من يحموم وَظِلٍّ مِّن يَحْمُومٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور سیاہ دھویں کے سایے میں ہوں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And in the shades of Black Smoke:

| Words | |وظل - And a shade| من - of| يحموم - black smoke,| | ||||||
| 14. [56:44] | La baridin wala kareemin | لا بارد ولا كريم لَّا بَارِدٍ وَلَا كَرِيمٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جو نہ (کبھی) ٹھنڈا ہوگا اور نہ فرحت بخش ہوگا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Nothing (will there be) to refresh, nor to please:

| Words | |لا - Not| بارد - cool| ولا - and not| كريم - pleasant.| | ||||||
| 15. [56:45] | Innahum kanoo qabla thalikamutrafeena | إنهم كانوا قبل ذلك مترفين إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ مُتْرَفِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک وہ (اہلِ دوزخ) اس سے پہلے (دنیا میں) خوش حال رہ چکے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | For that they were wont to be indulged, before that, in wealth (and luxury),
| ||||||
| Words | |إنهم - Indeed, they| كانوا - were| قبل - before| ذلك - that| مترفين - indulging in affluence.| | ||||||
| 16. [56:48] | Awa abaona al-awwaloona | أوآباؤنا الأولون أَوَ آبَاؤُنَا الْأَوَّلُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور کیا ہمارے اگلے باپ دادا بھی (زندہ کئے جائیں گے) | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "(We) and our fathers of old?"
| ||||||
| Words | |أوآباؤنا - And also our fathers| الأولون - former?| | ||||||
| 17. [56:49] | Qul inna al-awwaleena waal-akhireena | قل إن الأولين والآخرين قُلْ إِنَّ الْأَوَّلِينَ وَالْآخِرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | آپ فرما دیں: بیشک اگلے اور پچھلے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Say: "Yea, those of old and those of later times,
| ||||||
| Words | |قل - Say,| إن - "Indeed,| الأولين - the former| والآخرين - and the later people| | ||||||
| 18. [56:53] | Famali-oona minha albutoona | فمالئون منها البطون فَمَالِؤُونَ مِنْهَا الْبُطُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | سو اُس سے اپنے پیٹ بھرنے والے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Then will ye fill your insides therewith,
| ||||||
| Words | |فمالئون - Then will fill| منها - with it| البطون - the bellies,| | ||||||
| 19. [56:54] | Fashariboona AAalayhi mina alhameemi | فشاربون عليه من الحميم فَشَارِبُونَ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الْحَمِيمِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر اُس پر سخت کھولتا پانی پینے والے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "And drink Boiling Water on top of it:
| ||||||
| Words | |فشاربون - And drink| عليه - over it| من - [from]| الحميم - the scalding water,| | ||||||
| 20. [56:46] | Wakanoo yusirroona AAalaalhinthi alAAatheemi | وكانوا يصرون على الحنث العظيم وَكَانُوا يُصِرُّونَ عَلَى الْحِنثِ الْعَظِيمِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور وہ گناہِ عظیم (یعنی کفر و شرک) پر اصرار کیا کرتے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And persisted obstinately in wickedness supreme!
| ||||||
| Words | |وكانوا - And were| يصرون - persisting| على - in| الحنث - the sin| العظيم - the great,| | ||||||
| 21. [56:47] | Wakanoo yaqooloona a-itha mitnawakunna turaban waAAithamana-inna lamabAAoothoona | وكانوا يقولون أئذا متنا وكنا ترابا وعظاما أإنا لمبعوثون وَكَانُوا يَقُولُونَ أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَئِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور کہا کرتے تھے کہ کیا جب ہم مر جائیں گے اور ہم خاک (کا ڈھیر) اور (بوسیدہ) ہڈیاں ہو جائیں گے تو کیا ہم (پھر زندہ کر کے) اٹھائے جائیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And they used to say, "What! when we die and become dust and bones, shall we then indeed be raised up again?-

| Words | |وكانوا - And they used (to)| يقولون - say,| أئذا - "When| متنا - we die| وكنا - and become| ترابا - dust| وعظاما - and bones,| أإنا - will we| لمبعوثون - surely be resurrected?| | ||||||
| 22. [56:50] | LamajmooAAoona ila meeqatiyawmin maAAloomin | لمجموعون إلى ميقات يوم معلوم لَمَجْمُوعُونَ إِلَى مِيقَاتِ يَوْمٍ مَّعْلُومٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (سب کے سب) ایک معیّن دِن کے مقررّہ وقت پر جمع کئے جائیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "All will certainly be gathered together for the meeting appointed for a Day well-known.
| ||||||
| Words | |لمجموعون - Surely, will be gathered| إلى - for| ميقات - (the) appointment| يوم - (of) a Day| معلوم - well-known."| | ||||||
| 23. [56:51] | Thumma innakum ayyuha alddalloonaalmukaththiboona | ثم إنكم أيها الضالون المكذبون ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمْ أَيُّهَا الضَّالُّونَ الْمُكَذِّبُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر بیشک تم لوگ اے گمراہو! جھٹلانے والو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Then will ye truly,- O ye that go wrong, and treat (Truth) as Falsehood!-

| Words | |ثم - "Then| إنكم - indeed you,| أيها - O those astray!| الضالون - O those astray!| المكذبون - the deniers,| | ||||||
| 24. [56:52] | Laakiloona min shajarin min zaqqoomin | لآكلون من شجر من زقوم لَآكِلُونَ مِن شَجَرٍ مِّن زَقُّومٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | تم ضرور کانٹے دار (تھوہڑ کے) درخت سے کھانے والے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Ye will surely taste of the Tree of Zaqqum.
| ||||||
| Words | |لآكلون - Will surely eat| من - from| شجر - (the) tree| من - of| زقوم - Zaqqum.| | ||||||
| 25. [56:55] | Fashariboona shurba alheemi | فشاربون شرب الهيم فَشَارِبُونَ شُرْبَ الْهِيمِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پس تم سخت پیاسے اونٹ کے پینے کی طرح پینے والے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Indeed ye shall drink like diseased camels raging with thirst!"
| ||||||
| Words | |فشاربون - And will drink| شرب - (as) drinking| الهيم - (of) the thirsty camels."| | ||||||
| 26. [56:56] | Hatha nuzuluhum yawma alddeeni | هذا نزلهم يوم الدين هَذَا نُزُلُهُمْ يَوْمَ الدِّينِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | یہ قیامت کے دِن اُن کی ضیافت ہوگی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Such will be their entertainment on the Day of Requital!

| Words | |هذا - This| نزلهم - (is) their hospitality| يوم - (on the) Day| الدين - (of) Judgment.| | ||||||
| 27. [56:57] | Nahnu khalaqnakum falawlatusaddiqoona | نحن خلقناكم فلولا تصدقون نَحْنُ خَلَقْنَاكُمْ فَلَوْلَا تُصَدِّقُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | ہم ہی نے تمہیں پیدا کیا تھا پھر تم (دوبارہ پیدا کئے جانے کی) تصدیق کیوں نہیں کرتے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | It is We Who have created you: why will ye not witness the Truth?
| ||||||
| Words | |نحن - We| خلقناكم - [We] created you,| فلولا - so why (do) not| تصدقون - you admit the truth?| | ||||||
| 28. [56:58] | Afaraaytum ma tumnoona | أفرأيتم ما تمنون أَفَرَأَيْتُم مَّا تُمْنُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بھلا یہ بتاؤ جو نطفہ (تولیدی قطرہ) تم (رِحم میں) ٹپکاتے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Do ye then see?- The (human Seed) that ye throw out,-

| Words | |أفرأيتم - Do you see| ما - what| تمنون - you emit?| | ||||||
| 29. [56:59] | Aantum takhluqoonahu am nahnu alkhaliqoona | أأنتم تخلقونه أم نحن الخالقون أَأَنتُمْ تَخْلُقُونَهُ أَمْ نَحْنُ الْخَالِقُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | تو کیا اس (سے انسان) کو تم پیدا کرتے ہو یا ہم پیدا فرمانے والے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Is it ye who create it, or are We the Creators?
| ||||||
| Words | |أأنتم - Is it you| تخلقونه - who create it| أم - or| نحن - (are) We| الخالقون - the Creators?| | ||||||
| 30. [56:60] | Nahnu qaddarna baynakumualmawta wama nahnu bimasbooqeena | نحن قدرنا بينكم الموت وما نحن بمسبوقين نَحْنُ قَدَّرْنَا بَيْنَكُمُ الْمَوْتَ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَسْبُوقِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | ہم ہی نے تمہارے درمیان موت کو مقرّر فرمایا ہے اور ہم (اِس کے بعد پھر زندہ کرنے سے بھی) عاجز نہیں ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | We have decreed Death to be your common lot, and We are not to be frustrated
